"How is the plague effect?"
"It’s pretty average... It seems like they are all Fishmen, but in fact, there are many life forms, and these things mutate too quickly. When the time comes, we might suffer even heavier losses."
Humans, Long Hand Clan, Free Fish People, their races are relatively simple. If we really start a viral war involving plagues, it would be our side that’s at a disadvantage.
"What about poison liquid? Targeted biological poisons?" Seemingly scary, but in reality, pose much less of a threat than the former.
"That could work, actually. We’ve already got several kinds. When we get back, we’ll try updating them... but it would be best to find some real combat Fishmen to conduct live tests."
"Right, can any of the disasters here be weaponized?"
"The three great disasters? Conscription, Fish Swarm, and the Wasteland... Let’s not talk about conscription. The all-devouring fish tide might be worth a try. But again, without bio-environmental constraints, introducing local high-threat fish species in large numbers might turn them into cross-world invasive species, and it could be our world that suffers first."
"I suggest we still give it a try. If we can do it, Earth can also start mass production..." Lu Ping’an was more practical. His primary concern was always Earth.
"The ’young couple’" rode the Sea Beast, chattering every now and then, sometimes even ’flirting with fists (Iron Fist Sanction),’ but the content of their conversation was probably beyond any cultist or dangerous element.
Having left the human world, Lu Ping’an was no longer restrained. In a sense, his nature was quite similar to Chris’s, especially regarding their indifferent attitudes toward life.
"...Killing enemy forces more efficiently is the better way to protect our allies."
When the opponent had already recklessly caused the "Great Flood" that swallowed lands and lives multiple times, clearly signaling the annihilation of nations and races, Lu Ping’an would no longer concern himself too much with the means of retaliation.
Perhaps the legend that "around poison, there’s often an antidote" might not be true, but "around a life form, there’s often its natural enemy" could be considered a natural rule... otherwise, it would often expand wildly, destroying everything in the environment until a new dynamic balance is achieved or the world is destroyed.
On the other side of collecting Magic Plants, Lu Ping’an was also collecting the natural enemies of the Fishmen... but the results weren’t very good, primarily because the Fishmen’s branches were too diverse, and in most cases, methods harmful to Fishmen were also effective against humans and the Long Hand Clan.
Still, many things and pieces of information were collected as contingency plans, and maybe bringing them back to the experts could yield more valuable conclusions.
"...This world seems to be without a Deity." Lu Ping’an hadn’t found any naturally occurring gods, which was rare in the Extraordinary World.
"In fact, the entire Octopus Forces hardly have any deities joining the battlefield." Chris had her own interpretation, though.
Deities might not be able to reach the planet’s surface, but the Divine Grace, Professions, and Blessings they provide could take effect, and most importantly, they can modify the "rules" of the world to a certain extent, steering it toward the environment they need.
"Most of the Octopus deities have become Its incarnations in a sense. When It arrives, it’s usually time to transform the planet’s environment. Remember that Secret Realm? Those Fishmen were genuinely transforming Earth into a home suitable for their existence..."
Each life form has its own environmental adaptability, at least humans can’t withstand atmospheres of irritant gases and corrosive seas.
Deities are usually auxiliary, and if They forcibly interfere with the world, they might face not just enemy deities but also resistance from the world itself.
And Chris’s description gave Lu Ping’an a reminder—if this world has deities, they are probably already serving as "Tool Gods" for the transformation of this world or might even be stationed in the local "barracks," which would need to be approached with utmost caution.
Lu Ping’an didn’t want to encounter a Quasi-God or Divine Incarnation. Right now, he was probably only at Decree-level, and since many of his equipment and Magic Pets were not with him, his overall strength hadn’t even reached one-tenth of his peak. With his simple armaments, he looked like a noob...
"...but this isn’t really why you sought me out, is it? Do I look that easy to bully?"
Surrounding him were Fishman Robbers that had been cooked... but judging by their rudimentary weapons and armor, they might just be ordinary villagers from a nearby tribal village.
However, since someone wanted to kill him, Lu Ping’an had no habit of holding back. He didn’t turn them all to ash on the spot but was also gathering information about the area.
This world remained quite primitive and, due to the lack of "agriculture" as a stable resource gathering point, both herding and hunting were at the mercy of luck. When a real disaster struck and there was a lack of food, they would simply raid the neighboring villages.
In the village where Lu Ping’an stayed before, many were probably "half robber, half villagers."
And if the surroundings yielded no harvest and there was nothing to rob? That would lead to what this world called the third great calamity, the Great Famine... At such times, raids by robbers would swell instinctively, sweeping away everything nearby, or they might just perish beforehand.
After understanding the local culture and societal development, Lu Ping’an decided to give up on the ideas of instigating and Mentor Theory. The bestial nature in the lives here far exceeded their humanity; if Lu Ping’an had not displayed enough strength, they would have likely attacked the two stragglers right away.
In fact, while Lu Ping’an was out hunting, there were some Fishmen who tried to sneak up on Chris... And as it turned out, they lost their troubles while Chris gained some experimental subjects, a win-win situation!
"....hold on, there’s something off about this batch of robbers, why are they wearing uniforms?"
This was already the umpteenth batch of robbers that Lu Ping’an couldn’t even remember, they lasted just a few seconds longer than the previous ones before they were cooked through.
"Stop playing with fire, it’s too conspicuous," Chris checked and confirmed it was probably a patrol from some force and reminded Lu Ping’an to be more discreet.
While disposing of the remains, Lu Ping’an considered how to kill the Fishmen in a "normal" way.
It’s worth mentioning that most of the corpses would disappear quickly if left alone... Not only were there many flesh-eating fish here, but the Fishmen themselves weren’t picky eaters. In "famine years," they would turn their neighbors and the weaker ones into food first thing.
"The existence of the Octopus being, at the source of the bloodline, also increases the Fish people’s bestiality... Of course, without civilization and culture, they have no reason to reject their beastly nature."
Hearing this, Lu Ping’an naturally recalled everything he had seen in the Redemption Secret Realm.
"By eliminating the Octopus, could all this be ended?"
"I don’t know, It might be older than human civilization... But in some worlds, if you kill Its Clone, those Deity-level ’Tools’, indeed, have records of severing its invading tentacles."
The Octopus is both a noun and a "description," acting like a super octopus in the Multi-universe, inserting its tentacles into different worlds to probe around... If it encounters a weaker party, it becomes a predator without hesitation, devouring the other completely.
In some ways, it is an existence like several major natural disasters, only less dangerous, not rating on the scale.
But for Earth and other emerging forces, it was still an unavoidable disaster... If It were truly a disaster of the Multi-universe level, Earth would simply steer clear.
The two changed into the patrol’s uniforms, looked around the area, and soon found another patrol team... These twenty or so local guards seemed to be slacking off.

Following them, Lu Ping’an and his companion found the giant city quite easily and managed to blend in with ease.
