"....Clearly contagious, heh, after all, the carrier is a parasite...."
[Awakening Mother (Mid-Level Golden Creature):It has no offensive power, nor a visible physical entity, but it is undoubtedly your most dangerous Magic Pet...or perhaps the most dangerous Life form in this world. You must control her well.]
The pages of Lu Ping’an’s Life Encyclopedia flipped unconsciously, but this Newborn Magic Pet has never appeared before him.
But this "Mother" is not just a simple pathogen... It is the source of Blessings and the result of Curses, a "Concept" kind of virtual existence, yet also an independent will.
"...I never imagined that my ’Blessing’ ability could mutate like this."
As eighth-tier Extraordinaries, Life Series Extraordinaries at this level have accumulated too much, and there is little they can’t do.
But their growth is also on a trajectory, with past accumulations often blooming and bearing fruit at this stage, with compound Decrees forming rules, with compound rules beginning to establish their own "Rule".
Lu Ping’an’s growth is extremely rapid, his accumulation also significant, but when compared to those several hundred-year-old Old Monsters, it’s still insufficient.
His "Material" is too sparse... but all along, there has been one ability that he acquired early on and greatly made up for this shortcoming.
"Blessing Power... It seems like a small share, but in reality, after those ’ten years’, the dividends, especially those of the Newly Promoted Rule-Level professionals, have truly added up."
Benefactor, a fifth-tier Gardener, Lu Ping’an’s unique Profession, with a purely buffing ability.
He can use Life Coins... using a part of the target’s Soul and existence as Seeds, to cultivate a Clone of the target, another Self.
That individual can grow alongside the master, possessing not just Extraordinary Traits and Abnormal Ability Talent, but may even act as a "Weapon" or "Combat Companion," stepping into the battlefield together.
And as their Creator Lu Ping’an... their growth, Evolution, will reflect back to Lu Ping’an a certain proportion of "Dividends".
Learning, Physical Training, Life Force... everything, even if the proportions are only twenty or ten percent, Lu Ping’an can still take in too much Dividends.
You must know that those Seeds sown by Lu Ping’an back then, many of them amongst his Companions have become true Rule-level beings. The Dividends they brought with their growth have all become Lu Ping’an’s accumulation.
This "nutrition" is even so vast that Lu Ping’an can’t absorb it directly... Most of it exists within the "Benefactor’s" Professional Templates, becoming Lu Ping’an’s accumulation.
And when Benefactor (Sower) Lu Ping’an first created with a desire for Destruction... naturally, this Power flowed out from the Benefactor’s Professional Template to become the "Gift of New Life."
Without a doubt, this is a Blessing... even if their Material, is Parasites, viruses, and malevolent Life forms filled with malice from Quasi-Gods.
When everything is stirred in Lu Ping’an’s Life Cauldron, and they are ultimately transformed into the blessings of Life, everything is fused into a small Gift.
"Parasitic Species..."
This is a tiny Seed, difficult to classify as animal or plant, and it’s even small enough to be hard to discern with the naked eye.
But once it enters the body and encounters the predefined "Material" of "Octopus Power," then, it is activated.
Essentially, it’s no different from Lu Ping’an’s previous "Blessings;" both cultivate a Life using the Receiver themselves as material.
However, the difference lies in the fact that once this Life form’s Parasitic Seed grows, it has no intention of becoming independent... This body, this Soul, might have been its own from the very beginning.
Parasitic Seeds, growing in the crevices of Soul and flesh, upon receiving the signal from the "Mother," will rapidly germinate, grow, and gradually bloom on the "Blessed One’s" Soul and body...
"...Kind of disgusting."
Everything happening before his eyes was making Lu Ping’an feel a bit nauseous.
Limbs were growing wildly in disarray, "another me" was generally staring back with full malicious intent. They didn’t attack, solely because they were concerned about insufficient strength leading to being killed in retaliation.
Every patient, as seeds of the parasitic species germinated, became twins... the "child body" was a perfect replica, continuously siphoning off the flesh and strength of the original to perfect its own existence.
Should they reach an agreement, in some sense, this would qualify as a blessing, even potentially doubling their combat power...
A drunk Fishman Leader smacked his head against a wall.
The people around burst into laughter... but the only sober one and the Recorder saw clearly, as the fallen had his head come off during the fall.
His head was twisted off by himself... on the original neck, another head of flesh had grown, identical but just a size smaller.
It was ridiculously comical but also eerie, especially when others continued to mock him for his drunkenness... yet he was smiling at Princess Yizi.
Lu Ping’an, however, was quite interested in all of this and continued to record...
"...As the body grows to a certain extent, the second phase begins, the newborn starts attempting to kill the original owner and carry out the replacement..."
"No, I should be more rigorous. The other lords haven’t done this... This Fishman Leader seems to revel in cruel fights, so, is it determined by each individual? When the original owner is full of malice and exclusivity, the newborn inherits their nature..."
Pondering and recording these possibilities, Lu Ping’an watched the unfolding before him.
He was more interested in the sleeping demigod... Although various organs and flesh grew from the body, they would often melt away in a short while.
It seems that this blessing of his was still not effective on the Quasi-God.
The influence on the other two Rule-levels was also the slowest... If it’s just to this extent, perhaps they would discover and eliminate it beforehand.
"...In fact, there’s no need for efficacy, the greatest threat of a virus is always its widespread damage..."
Watching as a Fishman head directly grabbed an ordinary soldier and poured its own blood into his mouth, Lu Ping’an laughed with delight.
He noticed that a large number of parasitic species were being directly injected into new victims... This life naturally spreads contagiously, which is its greatest value.
Lu Ping’an noticed that the Rule-levels were starting to sense something amiss... Their "another selves" could no longer completely shield their senses.
But what Lu Ping’an was even more interested in was that "replacer," tearing its own flesh and seemingly about to evolve into a complete form.
"Let’s see, just how much catastrophe you can cause..."
Lu Ping’an stroked the Life Encyclopedia; he seemed to see an invisible network forming in the sky, seeds being activated, and becoming a part of the Spiritual Network.
As the adult helped another "companion" twist off the head, completing the Replace... subconscious shielding completely failed, all victims witnessed this scene.
And this moment also signified the start of the third phase of Awakening Disease...
