No matter the rights and wrongs of the incident, the soldier he trained was beaten to the ground in a few moves by a cook. If this got out, his reputation would be in tatters!
"Oh?" Flossie Wright raised an eyebrow nonchalantly, seeming a little surprised as she looked at him. "Isn’t it the case here that if you have some ability, you can just bully others?"
As soon as her words fell, the instructor’s pupils tightened slightly, a powerful fury flashed in his eyes. Amid the pouring rain, the spark in his eyes only burned more intensely. He shouted in anger, "Who said you could bully people?!"
"Reporting to the officer!" Suddenly, a clear female voice rang out. Becca Reyes had somehow come to their side, now standing straight in the rain. She spoke assertively, "The two female soldiers who were beaten up by our cooking class cadet were bullying this sick female soldier, so naturally we thought that it’s okay to bully people here."
Under these circumstances, another cook standing up to speak, whether she was on the side of reason or not, was like pouring oil on the fire. It caused the group of people’s jaws to drop. They couldn’t help but think, ’Have the cooks eaten a lion’s heart? They dare to defy the officer so blatantly!’
Even the other cooks couldn’t help but wipe their cold sweat. These two newcomers were too fierce, daring to confront an instructor head-on...
Undoubtedly, the appearance of Becca Reyes intensified the instructor’s anger. He looked at both of them solemnly, then turned to Janice Wood, his voice booming, "Is that true?!"
His words filled with angry undertones and threatening gaze.
Janice couldn’t help but hesitate.
She had reason to believe that if she agreed with Flossie Wright, the instructor might bear a grudge against her afterward, making her a "special training target". But if she didn’t side with Flossie, then they would be on the wrong side, subject to severe punishment.
Flossie seemed to have considered this point as well.
However, before she could think much, she heard Janice nearby shout with a firm voice: "Yes, instructor!"
The powerful shout could clearly be heard even in the pouring rain.
The icy-faced instructor’s face turned black, like the bottom of a wok used in the cooking class.
"Reporting to the instructor!"
Suddenly, another roar rang out.
The enraged instructor glanced over and saw Jocelyn Carrington’s determined expression. His veins bulged in fury, he could only shout, "Speak!"
Jocelyn Carrington promptly stood at attention: "Though they misunderstood our team’s rules, the two female soldiers from our team were indeed in the wrong. It’s wrong to fight, but the cook acted in the defense of justice. I suggest leniency!"
She knew that Janice had recently been bullied for some reasons. But due to not knowing Janice well, she hadn’t interfered. She didn’t expect that Flossie’s appearance today would escalate the matter so much. She also came from the same place as Flossie, so she couldn’t not speak up in this situation.
"Your suggestion?" The instructor gave her a dismissive once-over, giving the sense that he didn’t take her seriously at all. But, for some reason, he suddenly laughed, his gaze falling back on Flossie Wright. "I don’t control the cooking class, but that doesn’t mean I can’t do anything! My soldiers will be naturally punished for fighting, but you..."
His words trailed off, the instructor wearing a look of contempt. He spoke coldly, "So you think the cooking class is quite capable, right? Fine! The target is over there. Hit all 10 bullets on target, and I’ll let your class handle this incident internally! If you miss, don’t blame me for making a big fuss!"
