An entire basin of water smashed onto a silhouette, soaking her from head to toe.
The entire corridor fell silent in an instant.
Becca Reyes’s eyes widened with surprise filling her beautiful eyes. The basin in her hand clattered to the ground with a "bang".
The basin of water had drenched one person entirely.
However, the person soaked was not the grimacing veteran soldier but Flossie Wright, who, unbeknownst to her, had moved in front of her.
A few droplets of water splashed onto others, but Flossie Wright was thoroughly drenched.
Standing silently, Flossie Wright’s slender, beautiful eyes slightly narrowed, dark pupils glistening with a layer of moisture, becoming even more dazzling and bright.
Her hair was already damp, but after being doused, the tips dripped like a fountain. Her clothes, freshly changed and clean, were now completely soaked, their oceanic color growing deeper.
The onlookers were stunned, Andreas Ruiz was stunned, the veteran soldiers were stunned, and so was the rookie who had tossed the water.
"It was... it was you who bumped into it..."
The rookie, visibly tense and at a loss for words, stammered out.
She was facing Flossie directly, catching the sight of Flossie’s moist, dark eyes—unspoken coldness spreading through her gaze, piercing her heart like needles, freezing her on the spot with her hand clutching the basin trembling.
"Flossie, are you okay?"
Taking a deep breath, Becca Reyes rushed over, her eyes filled with concern for the thoroughly drenched Flossie.
If it were any other day, it might not have been so worrying, but Flossie had been seriously injured that day, and now having been soaked with cold water, Becca Reyes’s concern was inevitable.
"I’m fine."
Speaking indifferently, Flossie’s brows slightly furrowed but she shoved the basin into Becca’s arms.
Becca naturally gripped the basin tightly.
Standing upright, Flossie glanced at the rookie who had thrown the water, then turned towards a stunned Andreas Ruiz and coldly asked, "Now that the water has been thrown, are you satisfied?"
Looking at her cautiously, Andreas Ruiz furrowed his brows, thought for a moment, and finally nodded firmly.
This situation couldn’t escalate any further.
Flossie was their Captain, and the scene of Sandy Cruz hitting someone the previous afternoon had already spread. If Flossie lost her temper, she might just punch them as hard.
She couldn’t beat Flossie.
"And you?" Flossie’s gaze shifted towards the rookie.
Meeting her gaze, the rookie stiffened and could only nod mutely in response, "Mhm."
With Flossie soaked like that, what else was there to say?
To not get beaten was already fortunate enough!
"You," turning to the side, Flossie looked at the dazed-looking veteran soldier, her voice as cold as ice, "apologize to her."
"Me apologize?" the veteran soldier exclaimed in surprise, then chuckled as if the whole scenario was ridiculous, "You’re just a Kenny Jackson Rank, what tone are you using to speak to me?!"
The moment the words fell, a hand reached from behind, pressing on her shoulder. With a slight exertion of force, it caused her face to turn pale with pain.
Jessie Grain appeared behind her at some point.
The veteran soldier turned her head, annoyed, but upon seeing Jessie, her expression froze unexpectedly, her confidence faltering.
Just as she was about to assert her rank, Jessie Grain appeared, and to her demise, she was a single stripe, while Jessie was a triple stripe—in no position to talk back.
"Listen to her, apologize."
With a steady voice and a pause between each word, Jessie Grain slightly narrowed her eyes at her, carrying a hint of persuasion.
Yet, the veteran soldier could distinctly feel the hand on her shoulder suddenly increasing its pressure, causing her face to turn white with pain.
