The sun rises in the east, bright and radiant.
The Forces didn’t stay here for very long. The rookies had their own training ground, and the women usually only came here to eat in the cafeteria. They had dedicated training grounds in their own divisions. Yet, these two squads trained together most of the time due to similarities in strength, along with the fact that sea training required certain guidance.
There’s no denying, Becca Reyes was quite excited initially, even if she understood her own strength well enough. She was undoubtedly eager to train with them all. However, before she could even relish a few moments of this excitement, Captain Glenn Hutchinson, leading the group, moved to the rear.
"The two of you just watch."
His voice was indifferent and light, as though he was discussing something hardly out of the ordinary. Yet Becca’s eyes nearly popped out of her sockets.

Becca blinked in surprise, looking at Glenn incredulously, trying to suppress her current emotions and disappointment. "Why?"
"You can’t keep up." Glenn cast her a brief glance before quickening his pace and leading the team forward.
Through his actions, he demonstrated that he had merely informed them and had no intention of discussing it with the two women.
Becca clenched her teeth in resentment, feeling extremely annoyed, "Dictatorship! Autocracy!"
Turning her head and seeing Becca’s displeased expression, Flossie lifted her hand and touched her nose. Actually, Flossie had no illusion that Glenn would let them participate in the training from the moment they were informed to come over.
Considering their current fitness levels hadn’t even met the basics, it was an Arabian Nights level of fantasy to think they could join this group’s training. If it could be said that there were chances of fatalities during the training, they would undeniably be the ones who would create them.
"I really don’t understand what he wanted us here for."
Becca flexed her wrist while watching the group start running. She could merely manage to keep up their pace, but that didn’t stop her from complaining.
Flossie, running alongside her at a steady pace, lightly replied, "To broaden our horizons."
After silently musing for a while, Becca found herself unable to retort.
Unlike the others, the thirty kilometers carrying a load was just a warm-up for them. To Flossie and Becca, who were lightly equipped, it was hard training.
So when they both tried their best to keep up and reach the finish line, they saw the others already comfortably discussing topics. In contrast, both of them were dripping with sweat and panting hard and barely managed to catch their breath.
Leaning onto Flossie’s shoulder for support, Becca’s scornful expression from the start of the run had shifted to one of newfound respect, she exclaims: "I finally understand what it means to broaden one’s horizons."
When your limit can’t even match someone’s warm-up, it was a harsh reminder that they were not on the same level as this group of people.
Effort was the only option.
At this point, Flossie and Becca could only watch from the sidelines, they didn’t even qualify to participate.
However, soon, when Becca realized that the group she was watching did not represent Glenn’s average team level, and they were only there after being selected, she was once again unsettled.
After a big shock, her mood settled down.
The whole morning, for Becca, was like a baptism of her spirit.
After a thirty kilometers run with full gear, the group immediately started rigorous training without a beat.
They carried out traction crossings over a gully that was 300 meters long and 50 meters deep, beneath them was rough, forested terrain, with no safe measures in place.
