With some emotion, and a bit of a headache.
"I know it’s you."
His voice arose by her ear, he, who had always been extremely calm, yet, in his words now, there was a faint trace of undisguised excitement.
Compared to the past, he was acting very out of character now.
The two silent people sitting in front trailed the noise behind to their ears, both couldn’t resist glancing at each other.
What kind of woman made Sliver abandon his plans in Africa and run all the way to the untouchable Eastlandia, and now, become so discomposed?
For a while, the driver shook his head slightly, indicating that it was not something they should be concerned about.
"It’s me, let go first."
Flossie Wright’s voice was as cold as ever, although it was not as indifferent as before.
Even though she didn’t mind this touch, being gripped so tightly did cause some pain.
The man didn’t say anything.
Flossie Wright didn’t move.
It was only after a while that the man slowly let her go.
The bleeding wound that wasn’t stopped, red blood still flowing, the blood stains on the collar looking horrifying.
Flossie Wright’s chin reddened slightly. As her eyes swept over the still wet wound, her brows involuntarily creased.
Placing her hand on his chest, Flossie Wright pushed him back, lifting the hand holding the military knife, she drew a line on his clothing and quickly tore off a strip of cloth. Despite the man’s darkened face, she quickly bandaged his wound.
"Erina, come back with me."
As the knot was tightened, her wrist was suddenly grasped.
Perry Reed looked at her seriously.
The previous danger and ferocity had faded, revealing a rare warmth in his eyes.
Flossie Wright lifted her eyes, dulcetly saying, "My name is Flossie Wright."
In the end, Erina Taylor was already dead. With her current identity, going back would only cause more trouble.
So, she refused.
The grip on her wrist intensified, Perry Reed’s gaze was piercing, his tone threatening, "Believe it or not, I’ll tie you up and take you back!"
A pain shot through her wrist, Flossie Wright held her knife with one hand, and fiercely stabbed it into the armrest of the chair beside her.
The knife blade was sharp, in a flash, it had gone halfway in, with all the force she could muster.
Her movement was incredibly fierce.
"Dare to bind me, and I’ll destroy you."
Her words were sharp and clear, fully reaching his ears, her threat extreme to say the least.
"Fine, I wish you would come to destroy me!" Perry Reed’s eyes were fierce, anger flaring.
Her wrist bone felt as if it was being crushed, intense pain spreading. Flossie Wright’s face whitened slightly, but her spirit didn’t falter in the slightest.
She was very stubborn.
Stubborn to the bone.
On non-principled matters, once she made a decision, nobody could change it.
Because, no one could persuade her.
Simply by looking in her eyes, Perry Reed knew it would be impossible for her to go back willingly.
But he couldn’t forcibly take her back either.
He knew Erina Taylor too well.
To begin with, physically restraining her was impossible. Not to mention she had a myriad of ways to escape, even if he did manage to confine her, he would only be keeping her body.
And, if you crossed her bottom line, she could instantly sever her ties with you.
"Don’t forget what this country once did to you!" His voice was heavy, a growl mixed with anger.
Every single word seemed to crush and resonate in her ears.
Flossie Wright was slightly taken aback, immediately regaining her senses, "I’m fine."
"Sure, you’re fine," Perry Reed sneered coldly, "Of course, you’re fine."
