What on earth is happening?
These guys who came for the mass blind dates were seething with anger. However, the culprits who caused their irrational rage, a man and a woman, had them so intimidated by just their gaze, they couldn’t lose their temper and had to swallow their anger begrudgingly - how frustrating!
But alas, this time they had to keep their frustrations to themselves.
Within two minutes, all these men departed like they were fleeing. Those who had ordered coffee and beverages just tossed their receipts at the cashier, throwing her into confusion. It could almost be described as making easy money.
Seeing that all potential suitors had left, Flossie Wright removed her hand from Glenn Hutchinson’s shoulder, thanking him with an insincere tone as usual.
"It seems you owe a lot of people."
Glenn Hutchinson glanced at her, his deep and unfathomable expression making it difficult to infer his true intention.
Flossie raised her eyes and responded to his words, "And then?"
Upon careful consideration, she did actually owe Hutchinson quite a bit. Although there were occasional instances where he used her as a human shield, putting her in his debt, this was insignificant compared to his actions.
Since he had another topic in mind, she decided to follow his lead.
"You’re hosting tomorrow."
Glenn quickly responded, making it sound as if it was easy, not even giving Flossie a chance to refuse.
Surprised, Flossie quizzically glanced at him, but accepted this kind of "repayment" and didn’t ask further questions.
Glenn turned to leave, and Flossie quickly followed. With nothing left to do, it was time to go home. However, instead of calling a cab like she initially planned, she hitched a ride with Glenn, who drove her home to the Wright family home, circling nearly two hours for the detour.
As for Glenn, who became their driver following last time as the laborer and ATM machine, he didn’t complain at all. Once Flossie entered his car, he wisely detoured to drop her at the Wright Family house without Flossie having to say a word.
For those few people who trailed behind them, before they had a chance to stop a cab and follow them, Glenn had already outdistanced them.
As dusk fell and night arrived...
Just as Flossie was about to reach home, comfortably seated in the car, she received a call from a deployed Becca Reyes, who had managed to muster through today’s training.
"Flossie Wright, don’t you want to come back?!"
Just as soon as the call connected, Becca’s near roaring voice came through the speaker. The anger conveyed by her words was so palpable that it felt like it could cross half the country, making her appear like she was about to explode.
If it were anyone else sending Becca food pictures, she wouldn’t have reacted so explosively. However, the person sending them was Flossie Wright, who was supposed to be training with her.
Just thinking of it made Becca upset, it was a wonder she hadn’t smashed her phone there and then.
While she was half-dead from exhaustion, looking at the pictures sent by Flossie felt just a bit less painful than seeing Calvin Ramos with another woman...
As soon as the call connected, Flossie moved her phone away just in case. It was only after Becca finished her yelling that Flossie slowly brought the phone back to her ear.
"I bought you a souvenir."
Compared to Becca’s infuriation, Flossie spoke very calmly, not caring about Becca’s anger at all.
Having finished venting her frustrations, Becca had finally calmed down a bit, she replied dubiously to Flossie’s statement.
It was true that when Flossie left, Becca asked her to bring back some local specialties. However, knowing Flossie’s personality, she would have half-assed the task. Why would she actually bring anything back?
But then again, she knew that hadn’t Flossie chosen to take a stroll that day, Flossie would never have thought of buying anything for her.
Glancing at the man driving next to her, Flossie then returned her gaze ahead, ignoring Becca’s question, and added, "Paid for by Captain Glenn."
Upon hearing his imparted information, Glenn slightly moved his brow, then glanced towards Flossie, who was on the phone. As Flossie looked back at him, their eyes met by accident. However, Flossie only gave a slight squint, as if hinting that she hadn’t taken his credit.
Much to her shock, Becca blinked in surprise and then fell into silence.
Wasn’t Flossie supposed to go back with Rowdy Brightwill? How did she end up with Glenn?
Just as she was about to continue her questioning, Neal Thompson’s voice was heard from the outside, practically bulldozer-like. She weighted the situation for a while before hanging up the call with Flossie.
At this moment, Glenn had parked the car outside the Wright Family villa.
Just as Flossie was opening the car door to say goodbye to Glenn, she noticed something strange. Turning her head, she saw Glenn, who had taken out his key and was also about to get off the car.
Meeting her somewhat confused gaze, Glenn slightly raised his eyes, "I’m going to visit your dad."
