At dawn, the beach became even darker.
Becca Reyes and her group had traveled through the night to arrive at the beach at this time, but the desolate beach was devoid of any human figures.
"Instructor Foster, where are they now?"
Stuart Weston, who had managed to make it out of the jungle with various scrapes and bruises, caught his breath and immediately began to ask about Flossie Wright and Calvin Ramos.
Compared to Becca Reyes and Stuart Weston, Nathan Foster had quickly and agilely made his way through the jungle. His speed would have been even faster, if not for having to take care of the two newcomers. Serious-faced, he stood ahead of them, gave a glance at Stuart Weston upon hearing his question, and continued trying to contact Austin Shepherd.
On the vast sea, it would be tough to find anyone without precise coordinates.
However, before he could reach Austin Shepherd, two figures emerged and walked towards them.
"We’re here."
The sound was deep and mellow, coming in with the sea breeze and drawing an involuntary glance.
From their left-hand side, Flossie Wright and Calvin Ramos emerged from the darkness and quietly approached. They seemed to have appeared out of nowhere, adding an air of mystery to their entrance.
"Yo! You didn’t take us along for your adventure?"
Becca Reyes raised an eyebrow to them, teasingly coaxing the two.
Visibility was low at this time, but once the eyes adjusted, silhouettes were discernable. What Becca Reyes noticed first wasn’t the handsome and elegant Calvin Ramos, but Flossie Wright, who lagged behind, seemingly at ease.
She vividly remembered Flossie Wright’s drastic action of cutting the rope. Seeing her standing right in front of her once more, Becca Reyes breathed a sigh of relief as her anxiety lifted.
Flossie Wright was wildly unpredictable, and that was cause for concern.
Janice Wood’s reluctance to leave Flossie Wright behind suddenly made sense.
"You’re late," Flossie responded, meeting her with an indifferent gaze, seemingly unsurprised by their knowledge of what she and Calvin Ramos had been up to.
She had been suspecting that Austin Shepherd had installed a tracking system to monitor and evaluate their activities. Otherwise, their participation in this exercise wouldn’t have made any sense.
Nathan Foster, standing off to the side, was genuinely surprised to see Flossie Wright and Calvin Ramos in person.
Becca Reyes and Stuart Weston, being rookies to the training exercise, probably didn’t realise the severity of the recent battle nor the roles Flossie Wright and Calvin Ramos played. But for Nathan Foster, who had participated in many exercises, nothing was clearer.
According to the information Austin Shepherd got, the Red and Blue naval forces were in the midst of a battle. While they were fiercely engaged, a few units from the Red team abruptly made their appearance on the Blue ship, catching them off guard. Capitalising on the confusion, the Red team seized control of the Blue ship and all the Blue soldiers were taken as prisoners within half an hour.
Those few sudden Red team soldiers may not have been able to take over the whole ship alone, but one thing was clear. Without them, the Red team wouldn’t have been able to breach the ship, let alone win, in such a short amount of time.
That squad... was said to have only three people.
"Who else was with you?"
After some contemplation, Nathan Foster asked Flossie Wright and Calvin Ramos, his curiosity about the third person clear.
