They moved closer.
Patrick Morrison was the first to stop in front of Glenn Hutchinson, followed by Perry Reed, who trailed behind and stopped as well.
"What’s going on?"
When he spoke, Glenn Hutchinson had a stern look in his eyes, staring intensely at the two individuals on the other side.
He had a good memory.
Without a doubt, he remembered the man who bore such hostility.
The leader of the Mercenary organization, Silver.
Also known as Perry Reed.
Ruthless, decisive, and extremely dangerous.
Glenn Hutchinson frowned slightly, his eyes darkening as he recalled an unpleasant experience.
What he cared about was the person Perry Reed was holding - it was Flossie Wright, whom he hadn’t seen in a while.
Lying obediently in his arms, her left hand clung to Perry Reed’s shoulder and her right hand clutched at his clothes, revealing her knuckles from beneath her sleeve. Her loose windbreaker made her look even thinner.
Her wet hair clung to her skin, appearing tousled. Her face was pale as paper, her eyebrows furrowing slightly. Her slender eyes squinted in the lamplight, looking like a beacon amidst the darkness.
She was fully conscious.
Her eyes were bright, her expression composed.
More than wondering why she was here, Glenn Hutchinson cared more about why she was with that man.
"Oh," Patrick Morrison explained, "We ran into them on the road. Flossie is sick, so we brought her here."
Just as he finished speaking, Glenn Hutchinson moved forward, passing him and standing next to Flossie and Perry Reed, blocking the dim light from behind.
Her vision darkened, and before Flossie could fully open her lids, a chilling hand made contact with her forehead.
Drenched in the rain, her whole body was cold, her forehead burning hot. As the icy cold hand touched her skin, she shivered.
However, feeling the temperature on her forehead, Glenn Hutchinson’s face immediately dropped.
"Give her to me."
Glenn Hutchinson determinedly met Perry Reed’s eyes, speaking out each word in a cold tone.
Both men were of similar height, standing face to face. Their gazes clashed, neither willing to back down, the oppressive atmosphere making everyone else’s heart pound with fear.
Patrick Morrison, curious, was about to step forward but suddenly felt a chill down his spine, causing him to stop abruptly.
His feet seemed to be glued to the ground.
A sudden chill accompanied by a powerful pressure engulfed him. Patrick Morrison felt a shiver of apprehension as he realized that the source of the sensation was the two men standing nearby.
What’s going on?

His heart raced with inexplicable fear and confusion.
Flossie cocked an eyebrow, her hands and feet cold. She tightened her grip on Perry Reed’s shoulder. Her slender leg made an arc in the night sky, escaping from his grip and landing steady on the ground.
Then, she let go of his shoulder.
Perry Reed’s eyes slightly lowered, meeting Flossie’s determined gaze.
Shifting her gaze away, Flossie reached up to adjust the collar of her windbreaker, then maneuvered past Glenn Hutchison towards the direction of the Tent Camp.
"Brother Patrick, let’s go ahead."
Her voice was slightly raised, but the hoarseness couldn’t be hidden.
Patrick Morrison nearby was taken aback.
Those who have been sick understand that even the strongest can be felled by illness. A simple cold or fever can cause dull senses and leave one feeling weak.
Standing upright, Flossie wore a black windbreaker that reached to just above her ankles, like a long skirt.
The windbreaker was open, revealing the jacket and leather pants underneath, and the boots on her feet. Despite the discordant ensemble, she carried an air of nonchalant neatness. As she walked, the hem of her coat swayed with her movement.
She looked as though she was not sick at all.
Flossie had just taken a few steps...
Suddenly, a hand reached out from nowhere, accompanied by a chill, and tightly seized her wrist.
Her strides paused.
Frowning, Flossie turned her head back.
Even before she could see clearly, another hand settled onto her shoulder.
