Glenn Hutchinson gave Flossie Wright just enough time.
At nine o’clock sharp, she arrived at the assembly area.
The helicopter had already been waiting for a long time.
All the students in this batch had arrived by seven at the latest, and the injured had already been taken away; those who remained, no matter how tired, had essentially rested well.
They all climbed up through the soft ladder.
As soon as Flossie got on the helicopter, she fell asleep against Belinda Nichols, her military cap covering her face, concealing all traces.
She didn’t move the entire trip.
Glenn Hutchinson was with them the whole time, watching Flossie Wright silently sleeping and couldn’t help but find it somewhat amusing.
Two hours later.
The helicopter arrived at the Base on time.
After spending several days in the Jungle, washed by rain, they were now in the snowfield.
The soldiers’ feelings were mixed.
Once off the helicopter, after assembling and waiting for Joshua Bailey to announce the meeting at nine the next morning before dispersing, a group of people headed massively towards the dormitory building.
Flossie Wright’s figure was lost in the crowd.
The roadside lighting was dim, and the brim of Flossie’s cap was pulled down very low.
Even when Rowdy Brightwill approached her to talk, he couldn’t see her swollen lips.
Not until the two reached the third floor.
Belinda Nichols pulled Flossie to the edge of the corridor and looked at her face with furrowed brows.
"What’s wrong?"
Belinda Nichols asked coldly, her expression revealing a touch of softness.
Pressed against the corridor wall by Belinda Nichols, Flossie raised her eyebrows and pushed her shoulders back a bit.
Flossie asked indifferently, not answering directly.
"Your mouth."
Decisively stating, Belinda Nichols stared at her lips.
"..." With a slight darkening of her expression, Flossie thought for a moment and then dismissively said, "Wasn’t careful while eating."
Frowning, Belinda Nichols stared at her for a few moments, as if confirming the truth of her words.
But then again, Flossie Wright had no reason to lie to her.
With that response, Belinda Nichols stepped back.
Blinking, Flossie watched the earnest Belinda Nichols and couldn’t help but laugh silently.
Just as she was about to pull her back to the dormitory, Flossie’s gaze swept over the area, and out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight of a figure walking up the stairwell.
Pausining slightly, Flossie patted Belinda Nichols’ shoulder, "You go back first."
Belinda Nichols nodded.
Without lingering, Belinda Nichols turned around and headed straight for dormitory 303’s door.
Along the way, running into Sandy Cruz who was just coming upstairs, she glanced at him and then uninterestedly withdrew her gaze.
Flossie Wright pulled her cap down further and then with her arms crossed, leaned against the corridor wall watching Sandy Cruz.
Sandy Cruz saw her at first glance.
Without hesitation, he walked straight towards her.
Dropping her eyelids, Flossie glanced at the ointment in his hand twice, and soon arched an eyebrow, "She got hurt?"
Sandy Cruz simply replied.
Flossie Wright smiled and said no more.
"Give this to her for me."
Sandy Cruz handed the ointment to Flossie Wright.
He had intended to give it to Mariana Buck, but since he’d run into Flossie Wright, he might as well avoid going near the female soldiers’ dormitory.
"What if she doesn’t take it?"
Instead of taking it immediately, Flossie tilted her head and asked.
Looking down, Sandy Cruz caught a glimpse of the marks on Flossie’s lips and said straightforwardly, "You keep it then."
"Sure," Flossie agreed readily and took the ointment generously, "Thanks in advance."
"Don’t eat anything spicy, or it will be very obvious."
Sandy Cruz added casually.
