"A lot." Belinda didn’t quite understand what she meant.
Flossie Wright paused slightly.
Suddenly, she remembered Belinda’s personal information.
As the Captain, it’s normal for her to view members’ personal data, and her memory retained a bit about Belinda’s family members.
If she remembered correctly, Belinda should be an only child.
This is also why Belinda was pressured to get married during the New Year.
Because she’s the only daughter, her family could only worry about her marriage.
Thinking about this, Flossie found herself unable to continue asking.
So, she shrugged her shoulders and helplessly said, "Let’s go in first."
No matter what the outcome, she really wanted the two of them to meet.
Without knocking or making a sound, Flossie directly pulled open the curtain and walked into the Tent.
However, once inside, she immediately felt waves of cold air, a heavy pressure, and a strong killing aura sweeping in.
Pausing, Flossie gazed inside and realized the main source of the killing aura wasn’t here.
Perry Reed and Ice were sitting across from each other playing chess; on the small square table, there was a chess game nearing its end, one side had been defeated, scattered, and lost soldiers while the other side’s pieces were mostly intact, closing in on the final checkmate.
Sweeping her eyes over the chessboard, Flossie glanced around and realized where the low pressure was coming from.
The one being checkmated was naturally Perry Reed.
At this moment, Perry had a sullen face, full of dissatisfaction.
If it weren’t the competition on the chessboard, Perry would probably have already drawn his Gun.
Flossie couldn’t help but laugh lightly.
Perry didn’t play chess; occasionally, when she’s bored, she’d persuade him to play, whereas Ice is a native of Eastlandia; although she hadn’t competed against him, she’d seen a chess set at his place once, probably not a novice.
Perry, with long entry time but not playing often, it seemed only natural for him to be at a disadvantage in front of Ice.
Seeing both of them so focused, Flossie couldn’t help but raise her eyebrows, teasing them.
At that moment, both their attention was drawn over.
Perry and Ice simultaneously looked over, and upon seeing Flossie, they almost stood up at the same time.
Their eyes, full of pressure, instantly made Flossie feel dangerous; just as she was about to say a few words to ease the atmosphere, she saw Belinda originally standing behind her step forward, highly alertly watching them.
At the same time, she helped Flossie alleviate most of the pressure.
Looking at the two of them and then at Belinda, Flossie couldn’t help but laugh.
"Let me introduce," stepping forward, Flossie rested her right hand on Belinda’s shoulder, introducing casually, "This is Belinda, my Comrade."
Pausing, she raised her finger, pointing at the two opposite, saying to Belinda, "Perry Reed, a friend, Ice, Anonymous... also the leader of this Mercenary Corps."
Without blinking, Belinda responded simply and powerfully.
She didn’t spare Ice another glance.
It was Ice, noticing Belinda, reflexively furrowing his brow, his gaze lingering on her momentarily.
Perry didn’t bother with introductions; as soon as Flossie finished speaking, he had already walked up to her.
Belinda hesitated, contemplating Flossie’s word "friend," realizing it wouldn’t harm Flossie, thus not stopping him.
"Follow me."
Walking over, grasping Flossie’s left arm, Perry said with a stern face.
Flossie, whose shoulder was grabbed, furrowed her brow instinctively.
In the blink of an eye, Belinda, who had just stepped back, suddenly pulled out the Dagger hidden in her sleeve and stabbed directly at Perry’s shoulder!
At that moment, Perry quickly turned, blocking Belinda’s wrist, stopping the Dagger in mid-air.
As others realized, Perry had already stalemated with Belinda.
Just as Flossie was about to speak, she heard Belinda coldly say first, "Let go of her."
Perry squinted, a hint of killing intent erupting from his eyes.
"Perry Reed!" hurriedly calling his name, Flossie’s voice turned cold, "Don’t harm her."
Raising his gaze, Perry glanced at her.
Before he could speak, he heard Belinda coldly say again, "Let go of her."
Word by word, with no warmth, even mixed with a forced tone.
Perry felt even more irritated.
He noticed Flossie frowning, her complexion paler than ever, only then did Perry suddenly realize something.
He withdrew his hand, releasing the grip on Flossie, instantly walking to her side, frowning and asking, "Are you injured?"
Flossie, pale with pain, responded lightly.
She took several deep breaths and only after a while did she manage to recover from the pain in her left arm.
Perry furrowed his brow tightly.
Every single one of them—
A bunch of fools!
Wounded and don’t say a word?!
One says to let go, the other says not to harm...
At the crucial moment, nobody speaks!
Thinking about it makes him angry!
"Let’s go out first." Resting her right hand on Perry’s shoulder, regaining her composure, Flossie forcefully pulled Perry out of the Tent.
