That legendary sharpshooter among the rookies, Flossie Wright?
And she’s... a woman?
"Regardless if she’s male or female, I swear I’ll take her down with one shot today - if not, I’ll adopt her family name!"
Suddenly, one of the Veteran soldiers grumbled menacingly as he holstered his gun and made his way toward the stairs.
Damn it, anyone who dares to provoke them should be prepared to face the consequences!
Then, the two figures standing by the window paused momentarily, exchanged glances, and quickly followed after the man.
Meanwhile—
Flossie Wright and Belinda Nichols arrived at the main gate.
Obviously, an intense battle had taken place here. Nearly two thirds of the rookies who charged in were already eliminated, many of them gathered dejectedly at the gate, stewing in their regret or nursing their wounded pride.
And the Veterans...
There were only three or four left. You could count them on one hand.
This in itself showed the difference between the rookies and the Veterans.
Upon reaching the gate, they could feel the gaze of the "fallen" on them.
"Did you guys also get disqualified?"
Spotting the two of them, one of the rookies got up quickly, a schadenfreude smile spreading across his face.
These rookies have always scorned the synchrony between these two individuals. Accordingly, they thought it obvious that Flossie Wright and Belinda Nichols would get disqualified as well.
"Sorry to disappoint," Flossie Wright glanced at the man indifferently, then shifted her gaze to the other expectation-filled rookies. In a chilly tone, she said, "We are tougher than you lot."
Suddenly, the crowd’s expressions changed, their eyes filled with hostility as they glared at her.
They were like demons from hell.
"Let’s go in."
Flossie Wright directed stalkily towards Belinda Nichols, ignoring the crowd of "dead men".
Belinda Nichols gave a slight nod and caught up with Flossie’s stride.
The gazes trailing behind them stewed in resentment, fury, and disdain—all sorts of emotions compounded to an overwhelming intensity threatening to drown them.

"Hmph, they just hid, right? What’s there to be proud of?"
The rookie, whose face had turned green after being blocked by Flossie Wright, spitefully blurted out when he had finally regained his senses.
His raised voice was loud enough for them to hear clearly.
However, a nearby veteran glanced at him disdainfully and spat out two words, "Fool."
"What the hell do you mean by that?!"
The rookie was incensed, rolling up his sleeves and storming towards the veteran.
"Just what it sounds like."
The veteran replied nonchalantly, not bothering to take the rookie seriously.
"Are you looking for a fight?!"
The anger in the rookie flared up even more, and he lunged forward.
"Don’t lose your temper!"
"Ignore him!"
"Calm down first."
The other rookies, sensing trouble, rushed to hold him back.
Having a row with a Veteran?
Are you asking for death?!
Many of the rookies remained seated with indifference to the skirmish. Most of their attention was focused on their upcoming scores.
They were unsure of how this mission would affect their scores and whether it would have any bearing on their future in the unit.
"Humph," the veteran sneered with mounting disdain, "Do you have a hearing problem? Didn’t you hear the gunfire next door stop with one shot just before those two ran over here? They didn’t come down from upstairs. Do we have time to aim at those cowardly ghosts lurking outside?!"
