"How about making a deal?"
Flossie Wright traced her finger over the blood-stained military knife, suddenly curled her lips, and raised an eyebrow at Gavin.
If there’s no chance of winning against Gavin in a direct confrontation...
She’ll have to think of other ways.
Anyway, she doesn’t necessarily intend to kill Gavin.
Her mission is to rescue those hostages.
In fact, Gavin has nothing to do with it.
If the mission goes smoothly, she wouldn’t even encounter Gavin.
If this is an unexpected encounter, then she hopes this unexpected event turns for the better.

"What?" Gavin narrowed his eyes, staring at her coldly.
Military personnel?
An Eastern soldier wants to make a deal with him?
He’s curious to see what kind of deal can be made.
"Give up protecting them," Flossie, with blood-stained fingers, lazily glanced at him, slightly curling her lips, "I’ll pay you, and let you watch a show."
"A show?" Gavin asked uninterestedly.
He showed up personally, and it’s impossible he’ll abandon the mission just because of a few words.
Flossie shrugged her shoulders.
Her brows emitted even more mystery.
"Are Eastern soldiers wealthy?" Gavin’s face was also creeping with a hint of a smile, but he still held a questioning and scrutinizing attitude toward Flossie.
It’s safe to say he doesn’t trust Flossie at all.
Women, as a species—
Are always dangerous, aren’t they?
"For the country," she faced his gaze head-on, speaking righteously, "paying a little isn’t much."
Briefly paused, Gavin surveyed her up and down.
Undeniably, this woman is very confident, confident enough to seem as if she has a sure way to leave safely from him.
The way she chooses to leave seems entirely up to her whims.
Hence, the interest in his eyes discreetly grew a bit stronger.
"Prove it to me first."
Moving his wrist, Gavin slowly spoke, raising his hand to button his cuff.
The movement was unhurried; the wound on his waist didn’t seem to affect him at all, as if that wound could cause him no pain whatsoever.
Unintentionally, Flossie squinted and glanced at the wound on his waist.
Before coming, she saw a few wild plants and specifically applied them to her knife.
They contained mild toxins, not lethal but certainly stimulating; even minor injuries would cause severe pain.
Unexpectedly—
Gavin managed to maintain such composure.
His composure is even stronger than imagined.
And, with such composure, it can be said Gavin’s danger level is hard to fathom.
"Do you have a phone?"
Tilted her head slightly, Flossie lightly raised her lips and asked indifferently.
"Heh," upon hearing her, Gavin chuckled lowly, "How do I know you’re not signaling?"
Flossie lightly laughed, confidently lifting her hand to raise the brim of her hat.
Her face was filled with a confident smile, she spoke leisurely, "That depends on your courage."
Believe it if you want.
If you believe, she’ll prove it to you, but there’s a certain risk.
Flossie has no other choice.
She has plenty of tricks up her sleeve; worst case, she’ll just fight.
Gavin’s eyes slowly filled with a hint of laughter; however, it was a peculiar kind of laughter, devoid of even a hint of warmth, and only full of curiosity and mystery.
