The lights were bright, the drinks were flowing, and everyone was having a grand time.
Within the lively pub, everything outside was kept at bay, leaving only mirth and joy.
Flossie Wright was drinking a cocktail.
Earthquake.
It was quite strong, taste-wise it was just okay.
She wasn’t a fan of alcohol. Her tolerance was average, but she did enjoy the hard stuff during celebrations.
The stronger, the better.
"How is it?"
The bartender who had served her walked over, smiling as he asked Flossie.
He was young, handsome, with a head of blond hair that made him quite popular among young girls, his charming smile was his secret weapon after all.
He was obviously trying to gain her favor, yet Flossie didn’t seem disturbed.
This young man couldn’t catch her interest.
"Mediocre."
Resting her elbow on the bar and her chin on her curved index finger, Flossie gave a rather cold response.
"Mediocre?"
The bartender wasn’t surprised.
Normal people wouldn’t be a fan of this burn-inducing, intense drink.
Seemed a bit harsh.
So, the bartender shrugged, accepting this, "Do you want to try something else?"
Politely dismissing him, Flossie held the cocktail glass, swaying it gently in an enticing motion.
The bartender feigned surprise, "Your cold demeanor will strike a blow to my ego."
Raising an eyebrow, she let her gaze sweep over his face before withdrawing it.
She ignored him.
The bartender was slightly disappointed. Schooling his expression, he greeted a regular customer with a smile.
Fiddling with her drink, Flossie shifted her body to face the bustling scene of the pub. She furrowed her brows slightly, her expression chilly.
She took a sip of her drink.
The strong alcohol spread across her tongue, stimulating her taste buds. She started to feel slightly intoxicated.
With a soft smile, Flossie put down her drink, and walked directly into the bustling crowd.
Meanwhile, the bartender who had just finished chatting with a regular customer, subconsciously glanced at the spot where Flossie had sat earlier, only to see it empty, leaving behind a cocktail glass not drained quite enough.
Raising his eyes to find her figure, amidst the bustling crowd, he was able to spot her easily due to her unique presence.
A straight back and unique aura, she stood out in the crowd.
After sparing her a thought, the bartender called over a waiter, murmuring something into his ear. The waiter gave a knowing nod before leaving.
After wandering around the pub, noticing several individuals high on drugs, Flossie got a general idea and made her way into the restroom.
When she came out, a hand was held out in front her.
"Miss, are you free tonight?"
A mix of flirtation, impertinence, and exuberance.
Looking up, she recognized the man. Flossie’s lips twitched slightly.
Marcel Smith.
He wasn’t wearing his usual bike gear, instead he was dressed in a comfortable casual outfit. A brown hoodie, black casual trousers, his hands tucked into his pockets. His hair was slightly longer than usual, covering his eyebrows and only revealing his playful eyes.
He looked quite rogue-ish.
His outfit was fairly typical of his age group.
Youthful, energetic, exuberant...
And a little show-off-y.
Pushing his arm away, Flossie averted her gaze, ignoring his presence and headed straight for the exit.
"Hey." Marcel hurried to keep up, "Flossie Wright, your attitude isn’t very good, you should remember you’re facing your savior. Without me, you could have been lost on the streets, do you understand?! Damn, weren’t you more polite before...ah..."
