"Of course, it’s to take care of my sister!"
Without a second thought, Flynn Reid answered decisively.
His expression was extremely firm, showing not the slightest hint of insincerity.
Flossie Wright felt a bit embarrassed.
Taking in Flossie’s expression completely, Glenn Hutchinson continued to stare seriously at Flynn Reid and asked, "Did you buy the groceries?"
"Yeah, Uncle Lucas took me for a round this morning, and I bought the groceries in the process."
Flynn Reid nodded obediently.
Flossie’s eyebrows twitched involuntarily.

Such a small child, yet he has to buy groceries?
Glenn Hutchinson nodded, signaling Flynn Reid to go inside first.
So, Flynn Reid walked into the living room obediently.
"No one to look after him?"
Bending over to change her shoes, Flossie asked Glenn Hutchinson in a low voice.
"There is," Glenn Hutchinson replied simply.
"Not here?" Flossie raised an eyebrow.
"Here now."
He gave Flossie a meaningful look.
Flossie squinted suspiciously.
"Me," Glenn Hutchinson straightened up, smiling at Flossie, "and you."
Flossie was at a loss for words.
She finished changing her shoes, furrowing her brow, "We’re both very busy."
Busy, that’s just one aspect.
On the other hand, Flossie had no experience with kids, nor any intention of being with them.
She hadn’t planned on taking on these responsibilities.
Although—
Flynn Reid wasn’t annoying.
"So, whenever you want, you can come by anytime," Glenn Hutchinson said lightly, taking a step forward, paused slightly, then turned his head to add to Flossie, "Moreover, there’s someone across the door to look after him."
Flossie raised her eyes in understanding.
That’s fine.
Occasionally playing with the kid seemed alright.
The two entered the living room.
Glenn Hutchinson bought a three-bedroom, two-living-room apartment, with two separate restrooms, plus a bathroom and a kitchen.
The wealthy naturally go for luxurious decoration; the space wasn’t very large, but it had everything, and all the furniture was top-notch.
Brought over by Glenn Hutchinson under the pretense of "referencing," Flossie had initially intended to point out a few flaws, but after Glenn Hutchinson showed her around, she couldn’t find a single fault.
Everything was complete, with an atmosphere of grandeur, mainly in black and white tones.
Flossie, being non-professional, couldn’t spot any issues.
After finishing the tour, Glenn Hutchinson raised his eyebrows and tossed something toward Flossie.
Flossie lifted her hand to catch it.
It had a metallic feel.
Realizing something, Flossie looked down.
Sure enough, it was the key to the apartment.
"Keep it. You can come by anytime in the future," Glenn Hutchinson paused slightly, then glanced toward the kitchen and added two words, "to check on him."
With the conversation reaching this point, even knowing that Glenn Hutchinson was setting up a trap step by step, Flossie seemed to have no reason to refuse.
So, she accepted it.
After storing the key safely, Flossie paused slightly and glanced towards the kitchen.
She only knew Flynn Reid was inside; there was the sound of running water, but the door was ajar, and she couldn’t see anyone through the window, leaving her unsure of what Flynn Reid was doing.
"What’s he doing in the kitchen?" Flossie asked.
"Probably washing vegetables," Glenn Hutchinson estimated.
"You let him wash vegetables?" Flossie furrowed her brow slightly.
"He volunteered," Glenn Hutchinson said matter-of-factly.
