After getting an affirmative answer, Flossie Wright shrugged and walked straight towards the dormitory.
Naturally, Glenn Hutchinson did not stay and left following Flossie Wright’s pace.
However, Xiaoyan, who watched Glenn Hutchinson leave, was smiling the whole time, until they disappeared around the corner. She slowly took her gaze back and carried the food bucket back.
Now, everyone in the cooking class was preparing dinner in the kitchen. On the way back, she didn’t meet anyone except Xiaoyan. Needless to say about the dormitory, it was empty without any trace of people.
"Aren’t you going back?"

Opening Rebecca Reyes’s wardrobe, Flossie Wright didn’t hesitate to throw all the "local specialties" she brought back inside. She then dusted off her hands and turned to look at Glenn Hutchinson leaning against the doorway.
The setting sun cast lingering rays of light, bathing Glenn Hutchinson in a hazy halo. His whole person was covered by a faint layer of red. The mountains and sunset outside complimented him as a background. His tall and straight figure formed a vague silhouette in the vast sky and earth, and dressed in casual clothes, he seemed somewhat less frigid, yet slightly softer.
Her eyelids lifted gently, Flossie’s gaze stopped for a moment on Glenn Hutchinson.
She did not feel that Glenn Hutchinson would accompany her to see Janice Wood. Here were the Forces, after all, and he had no direct connection with Janice Wood. It would inevitably lead to criticisms if he visited Janice straight after returning.
Glenn Hutchinson, who was just outside, turned his head with a nonchalant look. When he opened his lips slightly, he simply echoed, "Waiting for dinner."
His clear and low voice with a hint of laziness entered her ears.
He seemed very relaxed, not intentionally ignoring all the leisure, but naturally blending into this environment.
An unusual feeling rose in her heart, but Flossie quickly suppressed it and understood something.
Glenn Hutchinson spent much more time in the Forces than outside. Relatively speaking, the Forces were his home. Although he could quickly adapt to various environments and easily blend into the city, for someone like him who had been in his position for a long time, the outside world was too far away.
This place truly belonged to him.
This was where he could be free.
Drawing her gaze back and following the slight noise, Flossie effortlessly closed the wardrobe door.
As for dinner, let’s just wait.
With nothing else to handle, Flossie finally decided to join him in waiting in the kitchen for dinner.
"What do you want to eat?"
Seeing Glenn Hutchinson and Flossie entering the kitchen after just finishing cooking the dinner for the troops, Captain Lin, without any intention of taking a break, asked them while washing the pot he had just used.
"Same as usual."
"Whatever."
Glenn Hutchinson and Flossie Wright replied at the same time. After their words fell, they looked at each other but said nothing.
The rest of the kitchen staff had already learned the latest gossip from Xiaoyan, knowing that Glenn Hutchinson and Flossie Wright had returned together. They weren’t overly surprised, but they cast glances from the corner of their eyes, intent on confirming their relationship from their behavior while carrying on with their tasks.
Captain Lin, who was lighting the fire, paused, turned to give them a strange look, and finally fixed his gaze on Flossie Wright, "Come here, chop vegetables."
Touching her nose, Flossie agreed without any objection.
