On this night, the moon hung high in the sky, a cool breeze drifting leisurely by.
The island, remote from all hustle and bustle, was ominously silent. Even the sounds of insects and birds seemed remarkably faint. Leaves swept across by the evening breeze fluttered beneath the brilliant moonlight, creating a serene scene.
Naturally, the inhabitants of the island did not appreciate this beautiful landscape.
There were three paths leading up the mountain, with two sentinels stationed on each one. Their tall, upright figures stood under the night sky like statues, exuding a strong sense of deterrence.

Under the cover of the hazy twilight, Flossie Wright and Janice Wood, well-fed and contented, casually strolled at the foot of the mountain. They randomly chose a path to ascend, sneaking in the gaps where their movements were concealed. Eventually, during the shift change of the sentries, they managed to hide behind the two new sentries without them noticing.
In the approaching winter, all the bush and wild grass had grown tall, making it easy to conceal their figures amid such vegetation.
"Flossie, are we really going to do it?"
Janice Wood leaned towards Flossie Wright, whispering her question with uncertainty lurking in her eyes.
Until now, she had no idea what Flossie was planning to do. All she knew was it had no relation to their mission. Flossie had made it clear that they were simply here for fun and wouldn’t harm them proactively, yet if they accidentally get shot, they would have to leave the island in disappointment.
Trusting Flossie unconditionally, Janice didn’t hesitate back then, but the thought of launching an ambush made her slightly nervous.
Flossie noticed her anxiety and while keeping an eye on the guards, she leisurely offered advice, "Close your eyes, lunge over to them, and it’s good once you’ve knocked them down.".
Upon hearing this, Janice twitched at the corner of her mouth, resigned to her fate.
Since they had come this far, even without any real combat experience, it could still be considered an experience.
While the newly appointed sentries were initially very diligent, they soon grew restless. Seeing the right moment, Flossie gestured a neck cutting movement towards Janice.
Janice nodded heavily, gripping tightly the military knife that Flossie had handed to her.
Three, two, one.
Instantaneously, two dark figures charged out from the bushes like lightning, knocking down the two men who had their backs turned within moments. They demonstrated basic combat movements at their best, with utmost speed and efficiency, in no time they had the blades of their knives pointing at the necks of the two downed soldiers, leaving no room for resistance.
The chrome coated dagger was well hidden in the darkness, but the chill it exuded and the danger it represented spoke volumes.
The unspoken threat left the two male soldiers silent.
"Hey, buddy." Albeit pointing a military knife at the soldier’s neck, Flossie’s tone was surprisingly warm, "We mean no harm."
Upon hearing a woman’s voice, the two soldiers who were facedown on the ground were at first baffled, they quickly stole glances at each other before veering off from the knife’s position and turned their heads slightly to see who restrained them.
Despite their faces being camouflaged, their slender figures and silhouettes under the moonlight left no doubt they were women.
Upon receiving their attention, Flossie showed a faint smile on her delicate face, immediately she withdrew the knife and pointed it outward.
"Here, we’re not your enemies."
With a light-hearted tone, Flossie chatted casually, even sitting down next to the soldiers with a sense of carefreeness in her movements and language.
