After changing into a clean training uniform, Flossie Wright couldn’t feel any temperature.
By the time Flossie returned with the wet clothes she had changed out of, Glenn Hutchinson had already finished his shower and also changed into a new training uniform.
"Come over here."
As soon as he saw Flossie, Glenn Hutchinson took a new towel out of the cabinet and instructed Flossie.
Flossie glanced at him but didn’t listen to him. Instead, she walked straight to the chair by the table, pulled it out with a tug, sat down, and then poured herself a glass of water.
"If there’s something to say, say it so I can sleep well."
Downing the glass of water in one gulp, Flossie spoke casually.
She had no intention of dragging the matter out until tomorrow. The longer she waited, the more strained things would become between her and Glenn Hutchinson.
To be honest, she really didn’t take the matter seriously.
You could say that after leaving the Base, she generally stopped caring about anything between herself and Glenn Hutchinson.
There’s nothing that can’t be solved.
Especially—
Feelings and emotions.
Glenn Hutchinson came over. Before Flossie could decide whether to pour him a glass of water, he stood behind her and placed the towel directly on her head, roughly rubbing her hair dry.
Flossie slammed the glass down heavily, frowning as she spoke.
"Does it hurt?" Glenn Hutchinson’s movements slowed somewhat.
"It doesn’t." Flossie replied lightly.
Glenn Hutchinson found himself at a loss for words.
However, his actions did become noticeably gentler, slowly drying her slightly long hair.
"What kind of explanation do you want?"
Halfway through drying her hair, Flossie, feeling drowsy, could only rub her temple and ask.
"Flossie Wright, your promises are useless." Glenn Hutchinson frowned deeply. It was obvious that Flossie’s credibility with him had hit rock bottom.
On the surface, she agrees quite readily, but in truth, it’s just to pacify you. The moment she turns around, she throws all promises out the window, doing whatever she pleases, and not even the king could stop her.
It’s infuriating.
"Comrade, those words of yours..." Flossie was somewhat speechless.
"Not accurate?" Glenn Hutchinson interrupted her midway.
Flossie silently touched her nose.
What he said was actually spot on.
After hesitating for a while, Flossie could only say, "I’ll change next time."
"You still want there to be a next time?" Glenn Hutchinson asked coldly.
"..." Flossie’s eyelids lifted, "What do you want then?"
"Comrade Flossie Wright," his action of drying her hair paused, and Glenn Hutchinson slightly furrowed his brow, "can’t your attitude be a bit better when admitting you’re wrong?"
With a twitch of her mouth, Flossie raised her hand, grabbed the towel covering her hair, and pulled it off as she stood up from the chair.
Glenn Hutchinson’s eyes narrowed.
Flossie kicked the chair away with one foot, and in Glenn Hutchinson’s moment of confusion, she took a step forward and hooked her arm around his neck.
"One coaxing is enough. If you mess with me again, I’ll kill you!"
Flossie threatened furiously, then lifted her head and kissed his lips directly.
Glenn Hutchinson, completely caught off guard, was pushed onto the bed.
The next day, at six in the morning.
Wrapped in a quilt, Flossie rolled over on the bed twice. The moment she woke up, she silently cursed Glenn Hutchinson’s ancestors to the eighteenth generation in her heart.
