"What are they up to?"
Becca Reyes furrowed her brow in confusion.
"One thing’s for sure, it’s not good."
Flossie Wright stated lightly after closing the door.
Becca Reyes was bewildered.
It seemed like that made sense.
A relaxed day today, hell might break loose tomorrow.
And so, Becca Reyes suddenly felt less good, as if a bucket of cold water had been poured over her.
Flossie Wright didn’t bother with her phone. After tidying up, she planned to go to the cooking class to grab something to eat. Meanwhile, everyone except for Belinda Nichols was on their phones chatting.
Having not contacted old friends for a long time, they naturally wouldn’t miss an opportunity to do so when free.
However, not long after, they made a sad discovery - after only half a year away from the outside world, they couldn’t participate in their friends’ chat anymore.
Their former lively gossip didn’t interest them anymore, and their friends’ new lives made them feel both envious and sad, and even a bit lost.
Coming to this place indeed meant giving up some things.
However, to them who were still so young, the bustling chaos of the outside world still held a lot of allure.
It wasn’t until the afternoon that Flossie Wright remembered her phones.
After lunch, she took a half-hour nap. When she woke up and heard Jocelyn Carrington quietly talking on the phone, she noticed that her phones were fully charged.
Two phones.
Flossie Wright turned them on, one in each hand, quite ostentatiously.
The new phone was bought by Rowdy Brightwill, containing only a few phone numbers. Apart from a few calls, there was nothing else.
Therefore, the new contact list was naturally set up on her old phone.
Flossie had used that phone before, and had briefly browsed through it.
A complete mess.
That was her impression.
All sorts of apps, hundreds of contact notes, and many gaming videos.
All things she couldn’t understand.
Since she was free, Flossie casually went through the contact list and uninstalled all the other apps.
Until, she came across Whatsapp.
Becca Reyes had mentioned it last time so she had some recollection. She remembered it being some popular communication app.
She thought about it and clicked on it.
Immediately.
Loads of chat windows popped up.
Flossie felt a bit awkward.
The previous owner of the phone seemed quite popular.
Opening the friends list, a long string of names. When Flossie scrolled to the bottom, she saw a line.
"Flossie, there’s a goodbye party tonight, are you going?"
Just as Flossie was dazed, Becca Reyes walked in from outside.
Putting down her phone, Flossie replied nonchalantly.
However, with her sharp eyes, Becca Reyes immediately noticed her phone screen.
A familiar interface.
"Come on, let’s connect on there."
Becca Reyes walked over excitedly.
Flossie handed over her phone to let her do as she pleases.
But, not much later, Becca Reyes looked slightly spasmatic and exclaimed, "Holy crap! Is this your phone?!"
Becca Reyes was referring to the number of friends.
Flossie confirmed calmly.
This sort of thing, she certainly can’t deny.
"Phew, you must have been a social butterfly before and now you’re sick of it that’s why you have communication issues." Becca Reyes sighed and shook her head, feeling quite moved.
