"Go back and make a fire."
Her expression aloof, Flossie Wright issued a simple command.
After a moment of hesitation, Devina Millet’s brows lifted slightly as she stressed, "I really can do it."
Glancing at the messy pile of fish meat, Flossie Wright frowned tightly, her tone cooling slightly, "You have no choice."
Devina Millet pursed her lips and ultimately decided to follow Flossie Wright’s orders.
There was nothing she could do; the power to distribute food was still in Flossie Wright’s hands.
With no other recourse, Devina Millet picked up the military knife and stood up from the shore, withdrawing to one side.
But she didn’t hurry to leave.
She was actually quite curious to see what Flossie Wright could do with those two fish.
Ignoring her, Flossie Wright walked over to the spot she had been earlier, pulled out the military knife, and crouched down.
Flossie Wright glanced at the fish that had been butchered and moved on, immediately taking the other fish that had been left unscathed.
Devina Millet watched her intently.
And then—
The next moment, she was completely stunned.
Unlike the common knife technique she had expected, Devina Millet thought no matter how skilled Flossie Wright was, it couldn’t be that remarkable, but upon seeing Flossie Wright’s two cuts, she had a completely new understanding of Flossie Wright’s knife technique.
Flossie’s every cut was precise, and her movements were exceptionally fast. In just a few strokes, she had completely removed the fish head and tail and slit open the belly, discarding all the entrails within two seconds.
The knife moved so swiftly in her hand it dazzled the eye.
Even the fish scales, which Devina Millet considered the most difficult part, were scraped clean by Flossie Wright within thirty seconds, without harming the flesh.
Before her eyes, a live fish was perfectly prepared.
Devina Millet was utterly amazed.
But what she hadn’t expected was that, after completing her work on that fish, Flossie Wright stood up with the fish in hand.
It seemed she intended to leave.
"What about this fish?"
Stepping forward instinctively, Devina Millet blocked Flossie Wright’s path, pointing at the fish she had mangled.
Glancing at her, Flossie Wright commented indifferently, "It’s beyond saving."
Having said that, Flossie Wright prepared to walk around her.
In her hands, it wasn’t beyond saving, but having been so mutilated, she didn’t even want to touch it.
Devina Millet stared in shock, watching as Flossie Wright was about to pass her by, then instinctively stepped back to continue blocking Flossie Wright’s way.
"Is it really beyond saving, or do you just not want to deal with it?"
Devina Millet scrutinized Flossie Wright through narrowed eyes, asking word by word.
"I just don’t want to."
Flossie Wright shrugged her shoulders.
Faced with the forthright Devina Millet, she was equally straightforward.
"You!" Devina Millet ground her teeth in anger.
"Get a move on."
Flossie Wright reminded her lightly, picking up the fish and walking past Devina Millet, heading straight away.
Devina Millet stood there, filled with fury.
Yet, this fury, upon glimpsing that butchered fish again, turned into nothing but defeat.
All humans, yet why such a huge gap?
Though feeling helpless inside, Devina Millet had no choice but to obediently pick up the fish and remove its scales.
After spending another ten or so minutes, Devina Millet finally returned with half a fish.
Contrary to expectations, Flossie Wright hadn’t started cooking the fish but had instead skewered the one she had prepared with bamboo and placed it on a large leaf beside the bonfire.
Next to that fish, there were also the same bamboo sticks.
"I’m done."
Walking over, Devina Millet deliberately spoke to Flossie Wright.
