What if the Blue Army captures it?
But she had no other choice.
Relying on her memory, Flossie Wright thought about the frogman team that had gone to the island before her, then determined her bearings using Polaris, and then rowed the small boat, smoothly gliding in that direction at a steady pace.
They had undergone rowing training, and Flossie had always been quick to master such technical skills.
Rowing was much more relaxing than swimming.
After sleeping for two hours on the sea surface and rowing for a while, Flossie finally arrived near the target island around three in the morning.
Without hesitation, Flossie silently submerged into the water three kilometers from the island.
She swam over quietly.
Since the island she had been on could be attacked by the Blue Army so early, she assumed the situation on the other islands would be similar. Flossie’s first task was to ascertain whether this island had been occupied by the Blue Army.
Otherwise, if discovered, another fierce fight would ensue.
On the island.
After clearing the last group of people, Dallion Collins approached Glenn Hutchinson, who stood on the shoreline.
"All clear."
Dallion said casually.
To eliminate a platoon’s worth of firepower, three minutes was enough.
It was just a few stragglers that took some extra time; otherwise, Glenn wouldn’t have needed to wait.
"Where are they?" Glenn asked coldly, looking straight ahead.
"They caused a bit of a ruckus, Jude Marsh and Dixon Garrison are dealing with them now," Dallion said with a hint of frustration.
After killing that group, they indeed turned into vengeful spirits, tangled with them endlessly, raining curses and insults about their ancestors for generations, with ferocity unknown.
Jude and Dixon, irritated, joined forces to bind all these "spirits" and gagged them for good measure.
There was no choice, it was too noisy.
"Hmm," Glenn, gazing into the distance, suddenly shifted his focus back, glanced at Dallion, and ordered, "Tell them to hurry up and then erase all tracks on the beach."
"Huh?" Dallion looked up, puzzled.
"We have visitors."
Glenn explained in an indifferent voice.
"Oh?" Dallion raised an eyebrow.
Glenn turned and walked towards the deeper parts of the island, overgrown with vegetation.
Raising an eyebrow, Dallion paused, then followed Glenn’s gaze into the distance.
In the vast night sky and the boundless sea, the breeze blew directly in his face.
Visibility was very low at night, and Dallion couldn’t see anything at a glance. But after staring for a few moments, he suddenly pulled a slight smile on his lips.
Well, well.
There really were visitors.
The visitors’ luck didn’t seem too good.
The sea breeze was blowing this way, and the small wooden boat wasn’t anchored, it could only drift aimlessly with the water and the wind.
Unexpectedly, the small wooden boat, out of sight, was drifting towards the island, completely exposed.
The Blue Army didn’t have many people, at most eight teams, and they knew the situation of each team; none was headed this way. The islands were separated by a certain distance, and if it wasn’t by human action, for the boat to drift this way, it would be a miracle.
Dallion whistled softly, withdrew his gaze, and immediately went to clear the obvious traces on the beach.
With some effort, Flossie Wright reached the edge of the island.
She didn’t approach the beach on the island but instead went around to the other side and climbed up from the rugged cliffs.
Having judged the wind direction and the flow of the water, she had intentionally left the small wooden boat there.
The more one tries to hide, the more one’s actions are evident.
If she hadn’t been so unlucky as to encounter Glenn Hutchinson, she thought the small wooden boat might have served its purpose.
She just hoped that her luck wasn’t as bad as she feared.
Agile and nimble, Flossie climbed the cliffs, which was indeed risky but not too challenging.
Before long, she turned over and leaped to the top of the cliffs.
No sooner had she steadied herself than she heard a low chuckle, "Climbed up?"
