She glanced at him coldly, her gaze filled with veiled threat and warning.
He should be grateful he approached her as a blind date. Had he used such language to describe her otherwise, he’d have been knocked flat on the ground by now.
Unfortunately for her, the man was too dull to understand. He was momentarily scared by her intimidating demeanor, but the fleeting emotion was soon buried underneath a heavy burst of anger. Angrily, he stood up from his seat and accused Flossie, "Do you have no manners, woman?!"

He believed he had not said anything wrong or offended Flossie in any way. Had he not been slightly attracted to her, he wouldn’t have spoken so much before suggesting the possibility of a relationship.
Yet, her unfriendly attitude in return had only reinforced his initially poor impression of her. Out of pride, he even dared to ignore her subtle threat and openly defied Flossie.
Experiencing a sudden headache, Flossie rubbed her forehead and took a deep breath.
Just then, the waiter served the coffee she had ordered. Glancing at the waiter who had retreated a few steps away, Flossie quickly got up from her seat and took her coffee cup. Before anyone could react, the steaming coffee had already splashed onto her blind date’s face, leaving him standing there in shock.
What... was she doing?
The blind date watched Flossie in disbelief, unable to process her actions. He trembled and pointed at her, but the normally clean-spoken man was unable to hurl any insults.
"Either leave or I call the police."
Discarding the empty cup onto the waiter’s tray, Flossie coldly addressed her date and took her previous seat as if nothing had happened.
The waiter froze in place, unable to believe what he had just seen.
The spectacle attracted many customers’ attention. Having missed the earlier exchange, their attention was drawn only by the dramatic scene of the elegant woman splashing coffee. Despite the seemingly aggressive act, her natural demeanour carried no hint of violence. It didn’t look like an outburst of anger. Hence, despite her wrongdoing, people subconsciously sided with her.
"You! You’re simply unreasonable!"
The man cleaned the coffee off his face hastily, angrily pointing at Flossie as if she had done something outrageous. Nonetheless, encountering her intense gaze, he ended up storming towards the door after a furious shout, frustrated beyond measure.
The ordeal seemed to be over as the onlookers drew their attention away and resumed their personal affairs.
On Flossie’s side, the waiter awkwardly stood on the spot, unsure of how to speak to her or what to say at all.
"Another cup of coffee, please."
She snapped her fingers casually, a thoughtful glint in her eyes.
Rumor had it that the blind date list was selected by Merry Otiz. She had just handled one date, that’s all.
The real drama had just begun.
At the next table, an elegant man sipped his coffee leisurely. As the woman across him stared at him admiringly, his grin became even more profound.
