Glenn Hutchinson walked straight over.
Under the night sky, seen from a looking-up angle, his figure was even more upright and straight. Even without wearing a military uniform, he exuded an aura of righteousness.
When he walked to her side, Glenn Hutchinson didn’t speak
but sat down directly beside her.
He tilted his head to look at her and asked softly.
Mentioning this, Flossie Wright felt a bit drowsy and nodded.
Since the gathering last night till now, she hadn’t closed her eyes for a minute. She had been on the move the whole day, exhausting both her body and mind.

"I’ll wake you when it’s time."
Lowering his gaze, Glenn Hutchinson’s voice was gentle.
Flossie Wright responded softly.
As her hand was just supporting on the grassland, Flossie paused, then frowned at Glenn Hutchinson.
Glenn Hutchinson expressed a sound of curiosity.
Raising her hand to wrap around her knees, Flossie Wright used the other hand to hold a dagger, playing with it leisurely.
"Are you hiding something from me?"
Turning her head sideways, Flossie lifted her eyelids, her expression was indifferent, yet her gaze was sharp as a blade, penetrating as if it could pierce through a person’s heart.
Glenn Hutchinson paused slightly.
He scrutinized her for a moment, his brows knitted unconsciously.
Did she notice?
"Yes." Finally speaking, Glenn Hutchinson’s voice was hoarse.
"Won’t tell?" Flossie Wright raised an eyebrow.
"Won’t tell." Glenn Hutchinson’s face turned slightly severe.
Momentarily pausing, Flossie Wright furrowed her brows and continued to ask, "Is it serious?"
Staring intently at her, Glenn Hutchinson remained silent.
"I don’t like being played for a fool." Slowly retracting her gaze, Flossie Wright put the dagger back into her sleeve, then lay down on her side facing the other direction. Her lazy voice carried a warning tone, "If you’re going to hide something, then make sure it’s well-hidden."
She wasn’t sure what Glenn Hutchinson was hiding from her.
Or rather, she couldn’t think of any reason why Glenn Hutchinson would have to hide something from her.
However, Glenn usually wouldn’t hide things without good reason.
The day of revelation truly came, she doubted she could accept it calmly.
It might be better for Glenn Hutchinson to keep it hidden indefinitely.
Yet, she never expected that day would come so soon. Nor did she anticipate that the peace of mind she thought she had found would be suddenly shattered.
Watching Flossie Wright lying down beside him, Glenn Hutchinson slightly lowered his head. His gaze slipped over her, his expression inevitably heavy.
If possible, he didn’t want to hide anything from her.
This time, he had no choice but to...
Flossie Wright didn’t stand watch.
Logically speaking, as the captain, she should lead by example and set a standard for the other members.
Of course, that’s what Flossie Wright also wanted.
However, Glenn Hutchinson didn’t wake her.
It wasn’t until just before the action, when Flossie Wright heard the sound of equipment being organized, that she was awakened from her sleep.
Almost instinctively, she grabbed the rifle beside her and sat up from the ground in one swift motion. The drowsy look on her face disappeared entirely at the moment she got up, her eyes sharp and alert, revealing only vigilance.
"Why didn’t you wake me?"
Turning her head, she glimpsed Glenn Hutchinson packing up equipment beside her, and Flossie Wright unexpectedly knitted her brows.
"It’s still early."
Handing over two grenades, Glenn Hutchinson spoke calmly.
