Looking up, she abruptly met his gaze and Flossie Wright suddenly realized something, quickly withdrawing her hand.
However, as soon as she put her hand back in her pocket, a buzzing sound started emanating from within the clothes Hutchinson Glenn was holding.
Her right eyelid twitched, and Flossie pressed it, but her mind drifted to Perry Reed.
Given that she’d run off in his presence, that guy must be pretty angry.
After considering it for a moment, Flossie wanted to reach for her phone, but Glenn Hutchinson was quicker, pulling her phone out of her pocket.
For people she was familiar with, Flossie usually didn’t bother to save contacts.
A string of numbers flashed on the screen.
Perry Reed’s phone number.
But, after a glance, Glenn Hutchinson realized who it was and, much to Flossie’s surprise, he answered the call and brought the phone to his ear.
"Is there something?"
His expression was indifferent, and Glenn Hutchinson’s tone was cool, yet he spoke as if he owned the phone.
Flossie had wanted to snatch her phone back, but then thought it wouldn’t matter, sighed in her heart, and scanned the surroundings, noticing a restaurant across the street.
Uh, kind of hungry.
Earlier, at that store, after debating with Perry Reed and not having a bite to eat, she had just walked away.
Meanwhile, on the phone, Perry Reed paused, quickly recognized the voice, and gritted his teeth, "Glenn Hutchinson?"
His tone was nonchalant as Glenn’s gaze stayed on Flossie Wright.
"Erina..." Perry started, but immediately corrected himself, "Flossie Wright?!"
Responding lazily, Glenn Hutchinson raised an eyebrow as he saw Flossie turn her head back.
"Let her take the call," Perry Reed furrowed his brows tightly, unable to suppress the anger in his heart.
Having revealed his identity and achieved his objective, Glenn Hutchinson had no intention to argue further, so he handed the phone to Flossie.
"What is it?"
Putting the phone to her ear, Flossie asked casually.
"Why are you with him?" Perry Reed’s voice was deep, filled with an intimidating chill.
"Ran into each other on the way."
Looking at the restaurant across the street, Flossie Wright had no hint of guilt.
After a brief pause, Perry Reed sounded cold, but his tone was somewhat softer, "Where are you?"
After thinking for a moment, Flossie answered, "I’ll contact you after I’ve eaten."
Getting back from here without the help of a powerful motorcycle would take about half an hour by taxi, and she wasn’t in the mood for that.
"Erina Taylor!" Perry Reed was grinding his teeth.
"I’m hungry." Ignoring his fury, Flossie Wright stated plainly, "Hanging up now."
As she spoke, she didn’t wait for a response and promptly hung up.
With Perry Reed’s capabilities and the network he had built up here, finding her in a short time wouldn’t be a problem.
But it was enough for her to have a meal.
She certainly didn’t want to come to blows with Perry Reed at the dinner table.
Putting her phone away, Flossie Wright was about to head across the street when she suddenly realized someone was still standing beside her, and she turned her head, "I’m going to eat."
"That works out," Glenn Hutchinson joined in, seriously stating, "I haven’t eaten either."
"There’s one right here," Flossie glanced at the road and, without further ado, started making her way across, "Take care, I won’t see you out."
But, a hand reached out from behind and grabbed her collar.
She was forced to stop.
Turning around, Flossie Wright was about to confront him when she heard his low chuckle, "I have no money."
