As the team captain, she would naturally feel empathy for her team members, yet on the other hand, she also hoped that her team members would become more outstanding.
The improvement of their abilities made the pain they were currently enduring seem negligible.
Without much thought, Franklin Cody agreed to it.
It was only after last night’s incident that he suddenly realized his abnormal concern for Nancy Phillips could potentially lead to confusion in the coach-student relationship.
The reason he suggested leaving was also for the growth of the three of them; the final phase of training was critical, and it would be a pity if, because of him, they failed to achieve the expected level of ability.
Franklin Cody’s decision to leave was his way of being responsible towards them.
But he was well aware of the kind of impact he could have, so when Ella Pemberton proposed this, he agreed without further thought.
"Then it’s settled."
Seeing him nod, Ella Pemberton breathed a sigh of relief.
Speaking of which, Franklin Cody was quite an oddity, to choose to stop being an Instructor over such a matter. However, his pure adherence was also quite endearing, and of course, Ella Pemberton respected his decision.
Having spent nearly an hour in Nancy Phillips’s hospital room, Flossie Wright nearly finished peeling all the fruit.
By the time Jessie Grain and Nancy Phillips noticed, they saw her filling the entire fruit tray, as if making a large fruit salad, causing both of them to feel somewhat embarrassed.
Flossie Wright was sensible enough to stop peeling the fruit when it seemed about time to do so.
"The peeling is quite good, do you want to try it?"
Narrowing his eyes, Rowdy Brightwill took the opportunity to offer fruit, skewering a piece of apple with a toothpick and holding it to Nancy Phillips’s mouth.
Seeing Rowdy Brightwill’s smiling face, and the apple brought to her lips, Nancy Phillips paused unexpectedly and took a moment to react.
Originally, Nancy Phillips felt annoyed at the sight of him, but now, seeing those upturned eyes, any anger that had been built up in her heart suddenly dissipated into thin air.
After a thought, Nancy Phillips opened her mouth.
Rowdy Brightwill considerately placed the piece of apple into her mouth.
This gesture essentially proved that the two of them had completely reconciled.
"I’ll be going now."
After sitting around bored for a while, Flossie Wright stood up.
Without fruit to peel, and not wanting to join the conversation topics, the sight of Rowdy Brightwill feeding fruit to Nancy Phillips reminded her of Franklin Cody.
Having seen enough, Flossie Wright had no intention of staying any longer.
"Wait, I’ll go with you."
Looking up at her, Rowdy Brightwill immediately said.
Flossie Wright hesitated in her steps, glanced down towards the hospital bed, and happened to catch a fleeting stiffness on Nancy Phillips’s face.
She closed her eyes, then opened them forcefully, releasing a long breath.
Without saying much, Flossie Wright walked straight out of the room.
Rowdy Brightwill, his attention entirely on her, failed to notice Nancy Phillips’s expression, put down the fruit tray, and quickly followed her out of the room.
Observing this scene, Jessie Grain unconsciously furrowed her brows, feeling that something about it was quite odd.
As soon as he stepped out the door, Rowdy Brightwill’s arm was grabbed, and without any chance to react, he was pulled toward a corner.
Glancing from the corner of his eye and catching sight of Flossie Wright’s figure, Rowdy Brightwill frowned in confusion, but made no attempt to resist following her.
It wasn’t until they reached the corner that Flossie Wright let go of him and stood directly in front of him.
