One in the afternoon.
Mia Lawson left the hospital and arrived at the territory of the Sea Overlord Flowers.
After all, having spent some time at the Base, even just taking care of the injured, she knew quite a few soldiers. When Mia arrived at the women soldiers’ turf, she was spotted and greeted by quite a few people.
Asking for directions, Mia wandered for half an hour and finally came to a dimly lit room.
Knock, knock, knock.
Stopping in front of the half-open door, Mia knocked.
Quickly, a warm voice echoed from inside.
With a gentle smile, Mia pushed the door open and walked in.
The room was dark, with all the windows firmly covered by curtains. There were rows of storage cabinets, and in the middle, a table with a desk lamp shining on it.
This desk lamp was the sole source of light in the entire room.
Ciara Clark was busy with a cardboard box. Glancing up and seeing Mia enter, she immediately smiled at her, softening her expression.
"You’re here."
Taking a phone out of the box, Ciara Clark greeted her.
"Yeah," Mia closed the door behind her and came in, "the doctors and nurses are all arranged, ready to work for you guys anytime."
While speaking, Mia sighed, "You guys, every year at this time, end up with more injuries than any other time."
"Ah, it’s all for the country’s development," Ciara Clark laughed heartily.
Approaching, Mia looked at the box full of smartphones and was immediately puzzled, "What are you doing here?"
"Maintenance for them," Ciara Clark took out a few more phones and smiled, "Young people these days each have a phone. This box is full of the women soldiers’, and we help keep them safe. Training lasts another three months, and some were worried that the phones might not power up by then, so I thought I’d check them out since I have some spare time."
"That’s a lot..." Looking at the box full of smartphones, Mia mumbled to herself, but soon her good nature kicked in, "Need a hand? I’m free this afternoon anyway."
"That would be great," Ciara Clark eagerly accepted the offer, pulling out a heap of phones and dumping them in front of her, "Check the battery level, and if they’re dead, charge them up a bit—not all the way, just about eighty percent—and then turn them off."
In a good mood, Mia nodded happily.
With quite a few phones at hand, she immediately noticed several luxury brands and couldn’t help but reflect.
Her family was of average means and her phone had been used for nearly two years. In the Forces, no one compared such things. Normally, seeing certain luxury brands, she could only sigh with envy.
Now that she saw them up close, she couldn’t help but be tempted. The first phones she picked up to check were those luxury models.
Some were switched off, others were not.
Mia checked each one, and found that most of them had screen locks, which gradually doused her enthusiasm.
The last phone powered up.
In the moment the screen lit up, Mia suddenly noticed—it wasn’t locked.

Cautiously lifting her gaze, she glanced at Ciara Clark, who was inspecting them seriously. Feeling a slight stir in her heart, she carefully pulled the phone away.
Yet, upon looking, she made an unexpected discovery.
Thousands of Whatsapp messages.
Wondering who was so popular.
Curiosity got the better of Mia, and she nervously clicked on it, only to find—
Her eyes immediately landed on the four characters "Glenn Hutchinson."
A tremendous surprise, as if falling from the sky.
Mia froze for a moment, then a flicker of joy crossed the depths of her eyes.
