That’s what makes it so infuriating!
This despicable attitude, this provocative expression, could always ignite a person’s inner rage. That’s why Jocelyn Carrington hated her so much.
This woman had a knack for making people want to crush her!

"How can I be sure you won’t squeal?" Jocelyn Carrington tightened her grip on the gun unexpectedly. Even her fingertips were white, showing how tense she was at the moment.
Flossie Wright lazily gazed at her, slightly curling her lips, "Don’t you have so many people in the class who can vouch for you?"
With one sentence, she left Jocelyn Carrington with enough space.
If Flossie wanted to snitch, maybe Jocelyn would be punished from above, but as the instigator, Flossie would definitely also be punished. She obviously wouldn’t do such a stupid thing.
Hesitating for a moment, Flossie looked at the female soldier next to her with a hint of amusement, "Will you tell?"
The female soldier standing next to Jocelyn, felt a surge of pressure under Flossie’s gaze. She quickly straightened her back, almost standing at attention to answer her question. Fortunately, she snapped out of it midway and shook her head at Flossie, expressing her determination, feeling slightly embarrassed.
In situations like this, as long as the parties involved promise not to spill the beans, she would not go snitching for no reason, otherwise not only would she be implicated, but it would also affect her image amongst her friends. Besides, with only a few days left, who knows if they would ever see each other again, there was simply no need for it.
"Well, you don’t have to worry now."
Flossie raised her eyebrows at Jocelyn, putting on a facade of consideration.
Jocelyn was so incensed she gritted her teeth, her finger on the trigger tightened to its limit, as if ready to pull it any moment.
The female soldier beside her saw her movement and was even more nervous than Jocelyn. She couldn’t help but swallow, earnestly saying, "Jocelyn, you must think it through. She might be provoking you on purpose. She doesn’t care about her own future, you’re exceptional... you can’t let her ruin it."
In one’s life, one would always encounter a few people with ulterior motives. Of course, one might also encounter some incompetent teammates.
And so, Jocelyn became more indecisive.
"Time is almost up." Flossie lazily pointed at the watch on her wrist, contrasting sharply with Jocelyn’s tension.
Large drops of rain started to fall, hitting hard on their clothes, cheeks, and the back of their hands, bringing a slight sting.
Jocelyn’s hand was clutching the gun so tightly that her fingers began to ache. Gradually, however, she loosened her grip and put the gun away with a stern face.
"I’ll let you off this time!" Jocelyn glared hatefully at Flossie. Even in her submission, she refused to accept defeat.
Flossie shrugged at her, not at all surprised by her actions.
In her estimation, the probabilities of Jocelyn firing or not firing were equal. If she didn’t fire, it meant Jocelyn wasn’t as tough as she seemed on the surface, but rather impulsive and self-righteous. If she fired, Flossie wouldn’t show mercy to her in the future, but in such a storm, she definitely wouldn’t hit her.
So, regardless of the possibility, the outcome would be the same.
But Jocelyn didn’t know that Flossie had so many calculations in her mind. She simply couldn’t bear to look at Flossie’s suffocating face. After telling the female soldier next to her to "climb the tree to get it", she turned around and strode off, looking a bit like she was fleeing in defeat.
