He raised his hand, stopping the boss’s shoulder halfway from bending over.
Flossie was his daughter, his problem. But...
This debt, he cannot repay it.
The boss seemed to be in his fifties, with hair almost completely white, and wrinkles creasing at the corners of his eyes; a face of loyal honesty and full of remorse and helplessness.
His actual age might actually be younger though.
"Thank you, thank you," the boss immediately shed grateful tears upon Flossie’s magnanimity, "Whatever you want to eat, it’s free."
Flossie stood up.
Then, she looked at Perry.
It was time for them to leave.
Perry wouldn’t let go of this easily.
Accepting the boss’s gratitude now...
Was meaningless.
Despite the boss’s pleas to stay, Flossie pulled out a piece of paper, wiped the marks on her boots, and walked straight out of the restaurant.
Perry closely followed her out.
As they passed by Gold Necklace, Perry gently tilted his head and gave a meaningful glance at him.
Gold Necklace’s hand holding a chopstick paused, and he concisely nodded his head in understanding.
The rain was still sputtering, unrelenting.
Perry was under an umbrella, and Flossie was nearby.
She fell asleep while her hair was still wet last night. Normally, it wouldn’t be a problem, but today she felt dizzy, probably due to the cold.
"Let’s just find a restaurant."
Flossie kneaded her forehead, feeling under the weather.
Suddenly --
Perry stopped walking.
Unaware, Flossie kept walking ahead.
As the rain curtain fell in front of her, a hand suddenly landed on her shoulder, stopping her. Meanwhile, the figure next to her took a step forward, shifting more than half of the umbrella toward her to shield her from the rain.
"What’s wrong?"
She looked at him feeling confused.
Moving half a step forward, Perry was standing sternly with a gloomy face and made no reply.
Flossie was startled and wanted to speak.
But, the hand on her shoulder suddenly lifted and flashed in front of her eyes, then quickly landed on her forehead.
It was cold...
Flossie jerked away, taking one step backward.
Before she could ask, the figure before her aggressively took a step toward her, stood up in front of her, and the free hand tightly gripped her shoulder.
"Didn’t you know you have a fever?"
With a dark face, Perry grumbled fiercely.
Taking advantage of his height, whenever he stepped too close, he would give Flossie a sense of oppression.
Frowning, Flossie stared at him, her dark pupils filled with anger and dissatisfaction, making her feel a bit guilty.
What the...
Mumbling to herself, Flossie shrugged, "I know."
"Did you take any medicine?" Perry pursued.
His face darkened once more. After a moment of silence, Perry gripped her left hand, lifted it, and asked, "What happened to your fingers?!"
Her hand was caught, her slender fingers slightly bent. After months of practice, her hand was no longer as tender as before, but the deep cut on her forefinger hadn’t been treated after staunching the bleeding with a tissue.
At this moment, the long scar on her slender finger was clearly visible.
Exceptionally harsh to the eye.
"It got scratched."
Flossie was expressionless.
A small injury...
However, Flossie’s indifference had thoroughly infuriated Perry, "Are you going to die if you get it treated?!"

Flossie was utterly confused.
But Perry’s words were aggressive, he was obviously mad.
"Are you sick in the head?" Flossie asked, frowning, "I’m going to cut you like this and see how you panic and apply treatment?"
They were all people who had been injured before.
Small wounds stop bleeding and they’re fine. For big wounds, they mostly take simple treatments.
When does she need to be so fragile?
"Damn, it’s not okay when you do it!" Grasping her hand tightly, Perry shouted in anger: "Damn it, you can’t even beat me now. Whatever I say, goes!"
Flossie: "..."
