If death cannot change anything, then the living who face death straight on have the ability to make some changes.
Glenn Hutchinson hugged her tightly, as if trying to merge her into his own body.
After a slight pause, Flossie Wright wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him proactively.
After the darkness, the sunlight rose, illuminating the world in an instant, with warm rays falling on them. The vivid bloodstains on their bodies testified to the dangers they had faced that night.
However, standing here, the past could no longer affect them.
The lingering kiss, the intense passion, under the gentle sunlight, everything was open and revealed, without any more hiding.
The two embraced tightly, their shadows stretched long.
It was as if the completely desolate city had become their backdrop.
When it was discovered that Flossie Wright was returning with Glenn Hutchinson, all the members of Aaron Doom in the Peacekeeping Camp were basically boiling over with excitement.
Exhausted from a night of labor, upon hearing the news, all their weariness vanished without a trace.
When they arrived and saw the figures of the two, all their joy and excitement were replaced by shock at that moment.
Of course, those following behind them were all equally stunned.
The members of Aaron Doom imagined the two returning hand-in-hand, naturally dressed neatly, a handsome man and a beautiful woman. However, the pair appearing before them was entirely unexpected.
Glenn Hutchinson held Flossie Wright around the waist, while Flossie was leaning against his chest sleeping, and no one dared disturb them. Only after moving cautiously did they check their condition.
Both of them had their bodies stained with a considerable amount of fresh blood; the large amount wasn’t just theirs, but from the knife-cut clothes, it was evident there must be some of theirs too.
They were like they walked out from a pile of corpses, bathed in blood, yet still stood resiliently.
Finally, Dallion Collins approached, carefully observing Glenn Hutchinson.
"Bring some medicine over."
Glenn Hutchinson paused his steps, glancing at him.
Dallion Collins followed the order.
Under the gaze of everyone, Glenn Hutchinson directly carried Flossie Wright to a room on the second floor.
The others were filled with unease but dared not approach lightly.

It seemed that both were quite weary.
Unknown what they had done at night.
But, purely using one’s intuition, it was known for sure that it wasn’t some romantic tryst; something so taxing for these mighty individuals surely involved a perilous combat.
"Let’s disperse. Once they have rested, I will ask them."
Dallion Collins, as a quasi-vice-captain, dispersed all Aaron Doom personnel present with one word.
Watching their obedient departure, Dallion Collins quietly exhaled, thankful Rowdy Brightwill and Belinda Nichols had been sent out. Otherwise, this situation would have been impossible to resolve quickly.
With a headache, Dallion Collins stretched and honestly went to get them wound medicine.
They didn’t have wound medicine here; he had to go to the Medical Forces, and pondering for a while, finally found someone he was more familiar with, Ann Cavanaugh.
"Why do you need so much?" Listening to Dallion Collins finish reporting the medicine list, Ann Cavanaugh looked up in surprise and hurriedly asked, "Who is injured?"
Dallion Collins hesitated, then answered truthfully, "The Captain."
"Where are the injuries, are they serious?"
Ann Cavanaugh promptly inquired, a tense expression appearing on her face.
