Flossie Wright had her reasons for choosing Sandy Cruz for the card game.

First and foremost, Sandy’s family was wealthy; in other words, they had money, so he wouldn’t care about the bit he’d lose in the card game.
Secondly, he didn’t know how to play cards. He might be able to learn in a day, but he couldn’t control the first few rounds, so he could lose money.
Though his demeanor was cold, he actually had a good temper, so he would cooperate with Flossie Wright to the greatest extent.
In fact, Flossie Wright had considered others, but she had ruled them all out.
Considering Rowdy Brightwill’s personality, abilities, and his popularity among the female soldiers, he should have been the best choice, but lately, Flossie didn’t want to get too close to him.
As for Becca Reyes and Belinda Nichols, one was too good at pretending, the other too serious; it was easy for them to give the game away, so Flossie Wright excluded them as well.
And Jessie Grain, Mariana Buck, Austin Shepherd, and others weren’t even considered by Flossie Wright.
After much thought, only Sandy Cruz was suitable.
Besides, convincing Sandy Cruz wasn’t a difficult task, and naturally, Flossie Wright pulled him over to her side.
Downstairs in the Dormitory building.
The outside was a spacious clearing, planted with many green plants, and in the middle was a stone table, beside which were four stone stools, available for their leisure use anytime.
It was occupied by Flossie Wright and Sandy Cruz.
"Is Belinda here?"
Around noon, Becca Reyes charged directly towards Dorm 307.
The door was ajar, and with a push, it swung open fully, revealing the inside of the dormitory at a glance.
Jessie Grain was not there; her spot was empty. Mariana Buck was washing clothes on the balcony, looking towards the door when she heard the sound. And Belinda was reading, with stacks of military literature beside her, engrossed in her reading.
Hearing the query, Belinda looked up, turning her gaze to Becca Reyes at the door.
"What is it?"
She asked, her tone cold.
Becca furrowed her brows and took a deep breath before asking Belinda, "Do you know what Flossie Wright is doing downstairs?"
"Downstairs?" Belinda was puzzled.
"Ground floor."
"I don’t know."
Belinda’s answer was simple and clear.
She had been reading all morning. After breakfast, Flossie Wright had studied with her for a while before vanishing, and of course, Belinda had not paid attention.
The only thing she had noticed was that it had gotten noisy outside, disturbing her reading.
"Bookworm, you really don’t know?"
Raising an eyebrow, Becca was quite surprised as she walked over to Belinda’s table.
She truly hadn’t known that Belinda had so many books.
A stack of books, all on military matters.
All these people, hiding their talents so well.
Becca felt a bit depressed.
"I don’t know."
Belinda repeated like a robot.
"Okay," Becca nodded and, standing beside her, asked, looking down, "Can you stop reading for now?"
Without speaking, Belinda lifted her head, looking at her.
Meaning she needed a good reason.
With a slight sigh, Becca said helplessly, "Flossie has already made two-thirds of the Veteran Soldiers see her as an enemy."
"..." Belinda frowned, asking in confusion, "Why?"
"Heard she was challenging those Veteran Soldiers and even dragged the innocent Sandy Cruz into it. You’re not unaware; she’s the type to stir trouble for fear the world might not be chaotic enough... Ah, forget it, let’s just go down and see for ourselves."
