In a moment of impulse, she poked at Becca Reyes’s sore spot. Although Becca Reyes didn’t show much concern, Jocelyn Carrington wasn’t a heartless person, and she still felt a bit guilty.
Becca Reyes’s voice was muffled, her face buried in the blankets.
So, Jocelyn Carrington turned to look at Flossie Wright.
After thinking it over, Flossie Wright really was too lazy to move and just nodded.
Jocelyn Carrington gladly took on the task.
It wasn’t until she reached the wardrobe that she suddenly realized she might have a masochistic streak.
She sighed in resignation.

Each person had their own wardrobe, but they were basically never locked. First, there wasn’t anything of value, and second... training was too busy, locking them was a waste of time.
First, she took Becca Reyes’s washbasin, then opened her wardrobe and took out a neatly folded set of clothes.
When Jocelyn Carrington moved to Flossie Wright’s wardrobe and saw the items inside, she jumped in surprise.
The washbasin fell to the floor with a crisp sound.
"What are you doing?"
Becca Reyes got up from the bed, looking puzzled in the direction of the wardrobe.
Jocelyn Carrington stood in front of the wardrobe, the washbasin having fallen to the ground. Fortunately, Becca Reyes’s clothes hadn’t spilled out, and at the moment, Jocelyn Carrington seemed to have frozen, her profile faintly showing a look of astonishment.
Not far from her, Mariana Buck and Jessie Grain were taking things from their wardrobes.
At the sound, Mariana Buck glanced over unintentionally, while Jessie Grain came around specially, looking puzzled.
Just one look, and expressions of surprise passed over both their faces.
In the upper shelf of the wardrobe, in addition to a few articles of clothing, there was a collection of cold weapons.
Military knives, daggers, bayonets...
All sorts of them, a dazzling array.
Maxwell Moore had about a dozen, none of them identical, but unsurprisingly, they were all finely crafted and beautiful.
Mariana Buck recognized that most of the military knives were ranked internationally after just a glance.
Good knives.
"Flossie Wright, where did you get all these knives?"
With wide, stunned eyes, Jocelyn Carrington looked toward Flossie Wright as she came over.
"Bought them."
Approaching her, Flossie Wright said indifferently.
Some were bought, some were gifted, but all were acquired with money.
She hadn’t been here long, but whenever Flossie Wright had free time, she liked to tinker with these things. When she had been the procurement officer earlier on, she had used the store owner’s channels to get a lot of good knives.
Glenn Hutchinson had given her two military knives.
The last time she parted ways with Perry Reed, she had also brought over a knife from him.
With just these few, she still thought it wasn’t enough.
"I’m not saying you didn’t buy them," Jocelyn Carrington muttered in response then thought for a moment and asked, "What do you need so many for?"
"I like them."
Raising her hand, Flossie Wright closed the door.
She had almost forgotten that her clothes were still out drying, not even sure if they were dry yet.
Seeing her walking toward the door, Jocelyn Carrington quickly called out.
Flossie Wright paused her steps and glanced at her, "What?"
"Can I take a look?" Jocelyn Carrington asked eagerly.
The refusal was firm and decisive.
"Wait," Jocelyn Carrington spoke up again as Flossie was about to leave, "What if the instructors find out about all your personal items?"
Glancing at her sideways, Flossie Wright shrugged and said indifferently, "Whatever."
