"Cutting it close is not your style."
Glenn Hutchinson spoke in a low voice, his tone hoarse and deep.
Flossie Wright’s expression didn’t change in the slightest.
This nonchalant attitude caused Glenn’s face to darken repeatedly.
He looked at Flossie, his eyes deep and unfathomable, mixed with complex emotions, in which Flossie’s figure was reflected in the depths.
"My reason," Flossie slowly began, pausing slightly before standing up and staring unblinkingly into his eyes. She deliberately asked, word by word, "Do you want to hear it?"
Tightly furrowing his brows.
Glenn’s expression became even more severe.
A moment later.
Glenn replied in a deep voice.
With a smirk, Flossie raised a hand to casually take off her hat and tossed it aside.
"Have you ever doubted me?" Standing idly, Flossie asked casually.
With certainty, Glenn didn’t deny it.
"Doubt what?" Flossie seemed quite interested.
"You want to know?" Glenn countered.
Flossie responded.
Glenn’s gaze darkened.
Of course, he had doubted Flossie, otherwise, he wouldn’t have sent Dylan Murray to investigate her background, nor would he have repeatedly questioned her about her relationship with Perry Reed.
Flossie should have been the most aware.
However, she suddenly changed her demeanor, directly unveiling the layer they had tacitly agreed upon, then very bluntly asked him—
Do you doubt me?
Doubt what?
This had nothing to do with what he wanted to know. Yet, clearly, the situation was now under Flossie’s control.
With a slight sinking feeling, Glenn opened his thin lips, each word certain and powerful, "Ability, background, temperament."
Abilities that didn’t belong to that Flossie, connections that didn’t belong to that Flossie, a temperament that didn’t belong to that Flossie.
Even Dylan Murray’s impression of Flossie wasn’t great after seeing the previous records.
But, after truly getting to know her, that impression changed significantly.
You could say she was reborn in the Forces.
He had trained people and seen the fastest progress, yet had never seen anyone like Flossie.
Especially that mindset which didn’t belong to the former Flossie.
At the very least, one thing was obvious—
If the previous Flossie truly came for Rowdy Brightwill, heartbroken for so many years, it wouldn’t be possible to give up so completely.
Flossie chuckled lightly, indifferent, and continued to ask, "What else?"
Narrowing his eyes, Glenn’s expression remained unchanged.
Internally, he was stirred.
Flossie appeared too calm, as if only trying to lead him.
Previous unrealistic suspicions seemed poised to become reality at any moment due to her calmness.
His heart tightened.
After a while, Glenn stared at her, his voice hoarse as he asked, "You’re not her?"
"Who knows."
Flossie shrugged slightly, maintaining her calm demeanor.
Thus, everything became a fact.
Clearly, her demeanor was an admission of Glenn’s suspicion.
Otherwise, anyone suspected in such a manner wouldn’t remain so calm.
Moreover, it was she who brought up the topic.
Glenn fell into silence once more.

Not out of shock.
