As the saying goes, "Spring nights are short and days rise high, from now on the king will not attend morning court."
After several consecutive days, Flossie Wright finally understood the meaning of this phrase.
Usually, Glenn’s internal clock is more punctual than Flossie’s. Being a Captain for such a long time, that kind of deep-seated sense of responsibility had even Flossie clicking her tongue in admiration.
Unfortunately, the allure of beauty is misleading. Her Captain Hutchinson’s sense of responsibility has disastrously dropped. Unless a mission lands on his head, he absolutely refuses to act. Moreover, with a handful of capable warriors at his disposal, he can pick any one or two to handle the heavy tasks, leaving him with fewer things to worry about.
Flossie, however, didn’t have it so easy.
In addition to dealing with him, she also had to lead her own group of "lady generals" to find some tasks to do, at least to prevent people from looking down upon "female soldiers" as freeloaders. But once busy, there’s no stopping.
As Devina Millet put it, Flossie seems born with a hardworking nature. If she’s idle, she must create some tasks, she absolutely won’t rest otherwise.
The weather had been bad recently, and no wars were starting; there was no chaos happening around them. They could have relaxed, but instead, Flossie, being so competent, found them a bunch of big and small matters, and she even liked to lead the charge... what could they do but comply?
The problem is, Flossie is such a person that what she can accomplish in half a day might take them a whole day to finish. In the end, they were utterly worn out by her tireless efforts.
Alright then!
Serving the people, is it!
Where isn’t there "the people" to serve?
"Is it really necessary?"
In the middle of the night, Glenn, waiting for Flossie to return, asked with a frown, instinctively pouring her a glass of water.
Flossie shot him a glare.
Wasn’t it just to avoid him?
"How long do we have to stay here?" Flossie took the water and asked, somewhat bored.
"If all goes as expected, eight months." Glenn thought aloud.
"That long?" Flossie squinted her eyes.
After thinking for a moment, Glenn rephrased, "Another seven months."
Flossie sat down on the bench, simultaneously placing the cup back on the table, frowning slightly, pondering something.
"Want to go back?" Glenn moved to her side.
"No," Flossie shook her head, "just feel like we can’t stay that long."
"Why?" Glenn raised his eyebrows.
"Intuition."
Flossie took off her hat and set it aside.

"It’s not just intuition," Glenn gazed intently, his expression meaningful, "the government’s about to collapse."
Flossie glanced at him sideways, "Anything happening?"
"Given the situation, it won’t last long." Glenn didn’t give a definitive answer.
"War?" Flossie raised an eyebrow.
"Chaos." Glenn slowly spoke.
Narrowing her brow slightly, Flossie seemed to think of something and abruptly stood up.
"Where are you going?"
Watching her head for the door, Glenn called out, helplessly.
"Going to find my soldiers, starting intensive training tomorrow." Flossie explained and vanished at the door.
Glenn was speechless.
In light of Glenn’s analysis, Flossie specifically contacted Perry Reed and Ice, asking them to help pay attention to the recent situation.
Flossie didn’t like relying on friendships to get things done, so the cost was quite high — helping these two Mercenary Corps complete a mission each, leading to her not being at the Base for several days. Glenn was left alone, incredibly bored, so he organized everyone in Aaron Doom, along with a few female soldiers, for daily high-intensity training. A few days later, other teams were also stimulated and proactively requested to train with them. By the time Flossie successfully completed the missions and returned, the scene she witnessed was more energetic than ever.
