"Let’s go." Flossie Wright jogged over and reminded Becca Reyes and Iris Dukes.
Becca Reyes and Iris Dukes responded one after another, one leading and the other following.
They ran obediently behind her.
In the first five kilometers, with a mighty crowd, the gap wasn’t very big, but in the latter half, some began to run out of steam, almost moving through the Snowfield.
Truly unable to go on.
Since Flossie had to run two ten-kilometer segments, she started to speed up in the latter part, leaving the hungry and struggling Iris Dukes behind. Belinda Nichols managed to keep up with her pace, reaching the finish line together.

However, when Belinda Nichols went to complete the armed swim, Flossie still had to run another ten kilometers.
Strangely enough, when she finished the ten kilometers, she still saw some people moving slowly in the river.
As soon as she steadied herself, she heard a cold voice.
After taking two deep breaths, Flossie tilted her head and looked in the direction of the call.
Among a group of accompanying medical staff, one in an army uniform was extremely conspicuous.
From the group she had been in with Glenn Hutchinson, Flossie knew all their names.
And that person, if she remembered correctly, should be named Jude Marsh.
"Come and get your stuff."
Jude Marsh pointed to a backpack beside him.
The first time she was here, Flossie had noticed that the surroundings were full of backpacks that were bulging with unknown contents.
And now, out of those piles of backpacks, only one was left.
It seemed that both Rowdy Brightwill and Stuart Weston had finished.
Without resting for long, Flossie walked over directly and slung the backpack over her shoulder.
Following that, she leaped into the river.
The river water was not turbulent, but rather very calm, approximately three kilometers across.
It was bone-chillingly cold.
Her Marine Corps drill uniform offered no protection against the cold and wasn’t even waterproof. As soon as she hit the water, the cold water quickly stripped the heat from her body.
Fortunately, her training in the Marine Corps helped her adapt to life in the water.
And she was a good swimmer.
Her speed in the river was two to three times faster than cross-country through the Snowfield, and she quickly disappeared from view.
In less than a few minutes, she overtook those floundering in the water. Her rapid pace was so astonishing that by the time they labored halfway through, Flossie had already reached the riverbank with ease.
"Flossie, hurry and change your clothes!"
Becca Reyes, who had been waiting on the riverbank, quickly waved toward Flossie, urgently reminding her.
Not knowing what was going on, Flossie scanned her surroundings.
Everyone on the bank had changed into army drill uniforms, which were thick winter clothes, and several campfires had been lit around them.
"The clothes are in the backpack."
Walking over, Belinda Nichols reminded her.
"The changing room is over there," Becca Reyes pointed in another direction.
Following her gaze to a small house, Flossie nodded to show she understood.
She walked toward the small house.
That small house looked like it used to be a dwelling, but now it was uninhabited and seemed quite neglected.
But it was adequate for them to change clothes.
There were two rooms, each marked with signs for "Men" and "Women."
Flossie entered through the door marked "Women."
"Just got here, huh? Go ahead and change."
