He spoke in English, albeit with an accent, but it was clear enough for everyone present to understand.
By this time, the entire pub had quieted down, and almost every table was focused on the situation here.
And when they heard "DARK" and "Saughter," the remaining attention sharply concentrated over here.
DARK and Saughter—who among these mercenaries hasn’t heard of them?!
DARK, Saughter—in their circles, they have always been renowned, even more so than perhaps Bailey Maynard.
However, Saughter and DARK are often mentioned together.
Due to Erina Taylor and Perry Reed’s relationship, the two Mercenary Corps have a certain level of rivalry, yet they have more opportunities for cooperation. The close-knit ties between the two Mercenary Corps are almost universally acknowledged. Though now that Saughter is in decline and poses no threat, DARK has taken in many former Saughter members, and their force grows stronger by the day.
Who wouldn’t take extra notice when these two reputable Mercenary Corps are mentioned?
And now, these two highly esteemed Mercenary Corps are somehow linked to a—
Uh, some Anonymous group no one has ever heard of?
Who wouldn’t perk up their ears to listen?!
"What do you mean by involvement..." Flossie Wright placed her fingers on the table, rapping them slowly with an air of calm composure.
"Cut the crap!" The bearded man impatiently slapped the table and questioned, "Are you with them?!"
Flossie’s eyes turned cold.
Simultaneously, Belinda Nichols’s expression turned icy as she raised her hand to grasp the bearded man’s wrist.
The bearded man became furious, trying immediately to pull his hand back, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t break free from the grip tightly bounding his wrist. The pressure tightened further, leaving him no room to move.
Realizing the strength of this woman, the bearded man’s face stiffened, fine cold sweat appearing at his temple, yet he stood his ground without faltering.
He feared that DARK was backing Anonymous, so he targeted a woman, not expecting that even a mere woman could be so formidable—what about the others...
The bearded man was all show and no substance, and from the start, he was intimidated by the name of DARK, naturally losing his composure from the outset.
"Whether we’re with them or not..."
Flossie lazily spoke, slightly lifting her fingers. At some point, an unfolded Folding Knife appeared between them, her slender fingers playing with it, emanating a chill and intense sense of danger.
"What does it have to do with you?"
Waving the Folding Knife in her hand, Flossie asked slowly, bending her wrist so that the blade tip skimmed across the bearded man’s hand.

The bearded man grimly forced himself to stay calm, his voice booming as he spoke, "Haven’t enough people crossed DARK? Silvery has snatched our business more than once or twice—be smart and clarify your relationship with DARK, or I guarantee you won’t leave this pub alive!"
Flossie’s brows moved slightly.
She didn’t look exactly as one might expect—there seemed to be some brains in there.
Placing "DARK’s enemies" at the forefront hinted that there were more than just one Mercenary Corps with grudges against DARK here, and Anonymous had a lot of potential enemies here.
