In the canteen, the clamorous noise suddenly went silent for a moment, but what followed was an even livelier commotion.
At the neighboring table, Calvin Ramos... no, Daniel Ramos was sitting upright, fiddling with a pair of chopsticks and slowly lifting his gaze towards the male soldier who had stood up with a slam, looking calm and collected.

If it were not for the soldier glaring at him with fierce eyes, he would have appeared to be a mere observer watching a play.
Opposite him, the man who had stood up with rage coursing through his body was a veteran soldier with a common face. Comrades shouldn’t publicly tear each other’s façades, but his furious emotions couldn’t seem to be contained any longer.
Around them, almost everyone looked on with either amusement, curiosity, or concern, all uniformly elite members of the Frogman Forces.
"What’s going on?"
Regaining her composure, Flossie Wright sat down next to Belinda Nichols, seemingly asking casually.
Belinda had arrived earlier and had been seated for some time. She had inevitably overheard some of the commotion at the next table.
When Belinda heard her question, she paused in her chopstick-wielding motion and frowned at Flossie Wright, as if trying to find the right words, but after a moment, she responded coldly, "I don’t know."
"Did they have a grudge before?" Flossie couldn’t help but touch her forehead.
It was only after spending time with Belinda that she knew this facial expression meant she didn’t know where to start.
Frowning in thought for a while, Belinda slightly nodded, "A bit."
But the casual inquiry received an affirmative answer, and Flossie’s eyes widened with a spark of interest.
"You have five more minutes to eat," Belinda reminded her, glancing over. "I’ll explain slowly."
Flossie acquiesced.
So, as the atmosphere at the neighboring table tensed, Flossie Wright simply focused on her meal while listening to Belinda explain the cause and effect.
At the root of it all, this dispute had started because of Becca Reyes.
Stuart Weston and Rowdy Brightwill were both moderately skilled in social interactions, so they had quickly become official members and had gotten along well with the veteran soldiers.
The veteran soldier named Caleb Torres got along best with Stuart and valued brotherhood. After Stuart had saved him from cramping in the water during a sea drill, their relationship had grown stronger day by day.
Later, learning that Stuart had a liking for Becca Reyes and seeing Calvin Ramos taking care of Becca on several occasions, Caleb considered what would be best for his good brother Stuart.
During sea drills, Caleb didn’t hold back in confronting Calvin Ramos, but Calvin usually chose to give way, unwilling to argue with him.
With old grievances in place, having a dispute at the dining table was almost to be expected.
The place that "Calvin Ramos" had reserved for his comrades was taken by Caleb Torres, and "Calvin Ramos" made some sarcastic remarks, which completely infuriated Caleb.
A confrontation was inevitable.
Belinda knew about their conflict because she was close to Becca Reyes, who would occasionally vent to her.
This time Becca Reyes hadn’t returned, so perhaps there would be peace for a while.
After Belinda finished speaking, Flossie had eaten half of her meal, while the nearby table had escalated to the point where it seemed they might flip the table at any moment.
Daniel Ramos didn’t intervene, remaining motionless from start to finish, but Caleb Torres was so provoked by him that, if not for a few comrades holding him back, he might have started a fight with Daniel at any moment.
"Eat quickly, don’t talk."
Flossie had just paused, preparing to speak, when she was abruptly reminded by a frosty Belinda next to her, causing her to lose her train of thought.
The amphibious frogman training was different from their sniper training, and they had quite a generous amount of time; at the very least, they had about half an hour for each meal, morning, noon, and evening.
