Flossie Wright said she was going to plant vegetables, and she really went.
Since she’d be staying here for a while, leaving the land unused would naturally be a waste, so it was common practice to plant some seasonal vegetables around the Campsite to supplement the not-so-abundant food supply.
Flossie had stayed with the cooking class before, so she was quite familiar with planting vegetables.
And, it could be said that she was quite fond of it.
Thus, Flossie’s appearance very successfully rescued Sandy Cruz from an awkward situation.
Young Master Sandy, though not spoiled, didn’t have much experience in manual labor since his family didn’t emphasize such education. So, when Sandy was assigned to the land, he had a rare moment of feeling "at a loss."
As for the Worker Soldiers with him, after handing him a small piece of land, they stopped paying attention and didn’t notice his "inexperience," leaving Sandy to blindly dig holes and plant vegetables on his own.
Walking to the edge of the land, Flossie smiled and raised an eyebrow at Sandy.
Sandy, who had just planted a small cabbage, slightly lifted his eyes but lowered his head again after glancing at her.
He continued planting vegetables.
"Need help?" Flossie touched her nose and continued to ask him.
Sandy’s digging motion paused, but soon enough, he ignored her suggestion and continued digging.
Flossie looked at the cabbage planted haphazardly and her smile grew wider. She raised her hand, pulled out her phone from her pocket, and, seizing the opportunity with a little battery left, unapologetically opened the camera and snapped a few photos.
She photographed Sandy and the land beneath him.
It’s rare to see such a scene...
Probably won’t see it again.
"What are you doing?"
Stopping his digging, Sandy stood upright and frowned as he looked at Flossie.
Raising her hand, Flossie tossed the phone over.
Sandy reached out to catch it.
The screen lit up, showing photos from the gallery, not the ones Flossie had just taken, but other pictures, likely snapped casually as she came over, showcasing the neatly arranged vegetables planted by the other Worker Soldiers, resembling their usual formations.
Sandy’s face darkened a bit.
So, Flossie asked again, "Need help?"
Sandy replied with a stern face.
Flossie clapped her hands and stepped onto the land.
Although Flossie could move freely, it didn’t mean her injuries were healed. On the contrary, even lying in bed sleeping, her back felt a burning pain, which is why she wandered around during the day.
Sandy, although not sure about her exact injuries, was aware she was hurt, so of course, he wouldn’t let her touch a hoe.
Thus, Flossie simply acted as a "Military Officer," directing Sandy and occasionally placing small cabbages for him.
With Flossie’s "guidance," Sandy, who usually picked up things quickly, became familiar with the process after just a few tries, and after planting only three small cabbages, Flossie was left with merely placing small cabbages alongside.
Fortunately, Flossie never complained to smart people.
So, with their teamwork, even though they had started late, their pace picked up and they didn’t finish the Mission any slower than the other Worker Soldiers.
Afterward, Flossie stood by watching Sandy carry a bucket of water, watering the little cabbages one by one.
Speaking of soldiers, in memories, they are the most handsome when wielding knives and guns, but as Flossie watched Sandy, she thought of the Marine Corps cooking class.
