Jadeitte Hotel.
After parking the motorcycle, Marcel Smith waved his hand and directly led Flossie Wright inside.
Living in the hotel for two months, the deft flirt, Marcel, had become a fixture, scoring with almost all the decent-looking waitresses.
Usually, he’d be seducing young girls into the hotel, so no one paid much mind when he showed up with Flossie.
They took the elevator, and entered the room.
"Where’s your gun?"
"Does the Forces specially send you to do this kind of work?"
"You guys..."
Before he could finish, Flossie’s coat was thrown into his face.
With icy eyes piercing him, Flossie’s voice was cold, her brows furrowed with impatience.
Marcel immediately fell silent.
The suite had one bedroom and one living room, separated in the middle. It was spacious and had an attached bathroom.
The living room was simple, yet elegant—a leather sofa, an oval wooden coffee table, a small desk, a wooden chair, a television across the room, with beige curtains dropping down next to it, concealing the floor-to-ceiling windows.
The bedroom housed a double-bed with white bedding, a floor-length cabinet, and two chairs.
It was clean and tidy, clearly well-maintained.
"I’m going to take a shower first."
After the brief announcement to Marcel, Flossie removed her hat and phone, tossing them on the nearby sofa. She then entered the bedroom, took a bathrobe from the wardrobe, and went straight into the bathroom.
Seeing this, Marcel’s mouth twitched severely.
Could being a soldier really change one’s character?
The old Flossie could never have been this relaxed and spontaneous.
Clutching her coat, Marcel pondered for a moment, then threw it aside.
Suddenly, there was a rustle from the bathroom—
"My phone’s in the coat, charge it for me."
An unceremonious order.
Exasperated, Marcel had to take out the phone and tossed it onto the sofa.
His gaze swiftly scanned the room and unexpectedly caught sight of a hat brim and—a gun.
Raising an eyebrow, Marcel’s eyes flickered, and then a smirk crawled up his face. He cautiously walked over to the sofa and picked up the gun.
He had never touched a real gun before.
However, he had some knowledge of firearms, and there were quite a few imitation guns at his home.
A common gun used by the Forces.
Analysing it in his hand, he was almost certain.
A real gun.
Without a doubt.
After playing around with it, Marcel thought to disassemble the gun, but as soon as he took off the cartridge, he froze.
An empty cartridge.
Not a single bullet.
He was certain that back in the pub, Flossie hadn’t fired a single shot.
Which meant...
Thinking about how Flossie had boldly flaunted the gun that night, Marcel was suddenly taken aback, profoundly shocked.
No bullets, so she...
Was she just using it to intimidate people?!
No wonder she didn’t fire the gun!
His lips twitching fiercely, Marcel gaped at the empty cartridge in his hand, inexplicably feeling a sense of belated fear.
He didn’t know where Flossie got the confidence from, assuming that the other party would be afraid of the gun in her hand. Otherwise, if it were exposed, wouldn’t she run the risk of being taken down...
Having trained in the Forces, Flossie was able to shower fast.
Donning her robe and towel-drying her hair, her short hair slightly messy, she carelessly draped the towel over her head.
