Chloe Bell’s specially trained memory was no joke. At that time, Flossie Wright could hear her whole account and only regretted Glenn Hutchinson wasn’t there, or she would have slapped this bastard into submission.
"It wasn’t me," Glenn Hutchinson blinked innocently.
"She’s so dumb she doesn’t even know who it was?!" Flossie’s mouth twitched.
Glenn sighed deeply, as if he figured something out, tightened his grip on her, and said helplessly, "It’s a misunderstanding."
The whole thing that happened with Joquin was something he only heard about later, and the person involved refused to tell Joquin directly and repeatedly emphasized to him not to say anything, otherwise Joquin would shoot the person...
So, Glenn acted as if nothing had happened, and when the person who was involved patted their butt and left, he didn’t explain it to Joquin. He just let it pass after the mission was over.
Who would have thought—
Alright, in fact, Glenn just figured it out a moment ago.
No wonder Joquin occasionally acted strange and peculiar, and why Glenn was reluctant to be in the same team with Joquin, to avoid causing any suspicion, not realizing there was such a big blunder behind the scenes, which he had no clue about.
Joquin misunderstood him—?
The thought itself was embarrassing.
Lucky that Flossie brought it up, or Glenn figured he would never have known.
Flossie listened to Glenn’s detailed account, and after a while, her face slowly turned black.
What a mess!
The increasingly frustrated Flossie slapped away Glenn’s hand from her hair, glared sideways, and asked, "Why are you upset?"
Glenn’s eyebrows drooped, then he slowly approached her, annoyance filling his eyes, "Did you have a thing with Perry Reed?"
"..." Flossie was silent for a moment, her eyes turned slightly, then she suddenly realized, "Did he tell you that?"
"Really?" Glenn’s eyes narrowed, a strange surge of emotion rising within them.
"Are you an idiot?!"
Flossie rubbed her temples in frustration.
Does this man’s head have a hole in it?!
And he actually believes that jerk Perry Reed?!
"No?" Glenn immediately became honest.
"What exactly did he tell you?" Flossie couldn’t figure it out, so she asked again.
"About the birthmark on your body," Glenn said truthfully.
"..." Flossie’s mouth twitched, "Sorry, I don’t have a birthmark."
"Erina Taylor has," Glenn emphasized.
"She only has scars."
"So?" Amazingly, Glenn wasn’t angry; his mouth even turned up a little.
"Hutchinson, you got played," Flossie looked at him with particular sadness.
She thought at least Glenn should be a bit smarter than Perry Reed.
Who knew, they’re both equally dense.
Such childish lies still managed to get him upset...
Still the same Glenn?
"Then I," he whispered, slowly approaching her, his fingers gliding across her cheek, that low, gentle voice accompanied by warm breath spraying at her ear, "should I get back at you?"
Flossie’s eyes widened slightly, about to curse.
But, the next moment, Glenn sealed her lips, restraining her wrists, leaving no room for resistance.
Oh, Hutchinson wasn’t going to say that jerk Perry Reed even hinted he couldn’t perform...
Such matters concerning a man’s dignity—
Hell, he couldn’t let that slide!
