West Hare, night falls.
The Anonymous Campsite.
This was the last night Anonymous would stay here. Most things around the campsite were packed away, leaving only the bare essentials for alertness and arms.
Daisy Deacon rode on the off-road motorcycle that once belonged to Flossie Wright, with a backpack slung over her shoulder, and stopped just outside the gate of Anonymous.
Ice was waiting for her outside the gate.
Behind him were all the members of Anonymous.
They stood behind him, scattered, yet each one stood tall and straight, their eyes uniformly fixed on Ice.
"She’s awake." These were Daisy Deacon’s first words when she saw Ice.
Daisy was referring to Flossie Wright.
Ice nodded imperceptibly.
Only when Flossie Wright was completely fine could both of them leave without worry.
Daisy Deacon smirked, raised an eyebrow at him, "Hop on."
Ice glanced at her, said nothing more, and swung himself onto the off-road motorcycle.
Revving the engine, Daisy took Ice and in no time, they rode off into the distance.
"Ice, we’ll be waiting for you to come back!"
"Ice, remember to come visit if you have the time!"
"Ice, we’ll miss you—"
The crowd standing behind couldn’t help but shout out loudly at Ice, each one of them excited, with eyes and noses reddened.
Their Anonymous was built single-handedly by Ice. In the last battle, Anonymous was severely weakened and hadn’t recovered yet, and suddenly, their leader Ice announced he would step down, passing his position to the members who had co-founded Anonymous with him back then.
The news came so abruptly, they didn’t even have time to react.
Half an hour ago, Ice convened an impromptu meeting to discuss future matters for Anonymous.
The current Anonymous was almost like starting over, without a capable leader, their future road will be more difficult, but they have to survive, so Anonymous cannot disband.
Ice roughly planned a two-year roadmap for them.
Leave West Hare, go to other countries, build up little by little, don’t be greedy, don’t be reckless, do your own thing well.
Finally, Ice announced his departure, taking nothing with him, leaving just like that.
He didn’t even say when he would return.
What they remember most clearly is that from now on, Anonymous would no longer exist for revenge, but only for the sake of these people.
And now, that Ice, who led them for just a few months but conquered everyone with his ability, left just like that, under their very eyes, without any attachments.
Many people felt a bit uncomfortable, yet no one felt bitterness or grief.
If one truly must leave, then wish them well.
On the road, there were no streetlights, only the headlight of the motorcycle.
The road was wide open, as they passed through an abandoned town, it was devoid of people, desolate and barren, the ruins of walls met the eye, everywhere was the tragedy left by war.
"Where to?" Slightly turning her head, Daisy Deacon raised her voice, asking Ice through the rushing wind.
A week ago, she left Perry Reed’s Silvery and came to the war-torn West Hare to find Ice.
