Just thinking about it made Liliana Prutoz somewhat scared after the fact.
Pressing her lips together, Liliana Prutoz was momentarily confused, but after a moment she was still resolute.
There were no ifs!
If Flossie Wright saw her and did not extend a helping hand, it would be the same as leaving her to die.
And, coming over early in the morning on purpose, she had reason to suspect Flossie Wright’s behavior.
She believed that within their group of students, no one would be so heartless to the extent of Flossie Wright!
When Flossie Wright returned, Perry Reed was playing with God at the cave entrance.
He squatted on the ground, while God perched on a slightly elevated stone. Perry Reed was chopping a fish into several pieces and feeding them to God, one by one.
"Hit a wall?"
Just as she approached, she heard Perry Reed’s indifferent inquiry.
He didn’t even turn his head.
It seemed like he already had a clear understanding of Flossie Wright’s encounter.
"Not really."
Stopping to the side, Flossie Wright touched her nose.
In fact, she had anticipated Liliana Prutoz’s reaction beforehand.
No matter who it was, if they were harshly rejected the night before, they would definitely feel the other person was insincere if they came to help the next day.
But, as Liliana Prutoz said, if she really had a problem later on, perished, then Flossie Wright would also be in trouble.
It was as if she were doing it for herself.
Anyway, whatever Liliana Prutoz thought of her, she didn’t care.

"The reason?"
After feeding the last piece of fish meat to God, Perry Reed suddenly asked, without warning.
"Didn’t think of one." Flossie Wright replied coldly, her voice indifferent. "I’ll be leaving right away."
Having delayed for so long, she also needed to speed up now.
"It’s still early." Perry Reed stood up and glanced at her sideways, "The fish is still grilling."
"Did you catch them?"
A flicker of amusement passed through her eyes, and Flossie Wright raised an eyebrow with interest.
God needed some time to find food; just a quarter of an hour earlier, it had only managed to catch a snake, so it couldn’t possibly have gotten so many fish in such a short time.
The only possibility was that Perry Reed had caught them himself.
Perry Reed put away the Dagger he had used to chop the fish.
Shrugging her shoulders, Flossie Wright walked past him, into the cave.
Perry Reed followed right behind her and entered the cave as well.
Just as Perry Reed had said, there were two grilled fish on the bonfire, and the other two fires had been extinguished, making the light inside the cave much dimmer.
Flossie Wright idly waited for the fish to be done, meanwhile studying the map routes by the light of the bonfire.
"Are you coming with me?"
After reviewing the map several times, Flossie Wright contemplated and then suddenly asked Perry Reed.
"What do you think?"
Perry Reed swept a nonchalant glance at her.
It was clear that if Flossie Wright did not persuade him, he was definitely not going anywhere in a short time.
"Alright then."
Flossie Wright responded indifferently.
Since Perry Reed was going to follow, she would have to change her route.
She would still check out the places marked with red dots, but to avoid encountering other people or ambushes along the way, she needed to find some secluded paths to take shortcuts.
It was best to keep Perry Reed from being discovered.
After all—
She really couldn’t think of a good reason to fool him temporarily.
Conveniently, the food that Perry Reed had prepared was still edible.
After finishing her study of the new route, the grilled fish were ready.
They each ate a fish.
Then, they extinguished the fire, packed up their belongings, and left the cave silently.
