"Instructor Hutchinson, about the training plan, can you help?"
Luna Vaughan stood firmly in front of Glenn Hutchinson, speaking each word deliberately.
"You can find other instructors." Glenn Hutchinson slightly furrowed his brows.
He had already taught Flossie Wright to "learn to refuse," so he naturally wouldn’t fall into this trap.
Luna Vaughan suddenly raised her voice, unintentionally adding a few degrees of intensity.
With a hint of impatience, Glenn Hutchinson raised his eyebrows.
"Deputy Joshua Bailey said we should seek all instructors. You are also one of ’all instructors,’ so helping us progress should also fall within your scope of responsibility." Luna Vaughan spoke calmly, yet her words were quite cunning.
Her meaning was clear: without a definite and acceptable reason, Glenn Hutchinson couldn’t refuse her request.
Instructor and trainee, two completely opposing roles, yet neither could afford to disregard the other’s needs. If trainees required assistance, instructors should help without question; otherwise, it would be no different than dealing with strangers.
Since Glenn Hutchinson was in the position of "chief instructor," and Joshua Bailey hadn’t excluded Glenn Hutchinson beforehand, it proved that Glenn Hutchinson was also within their range of "help targets."
"You know the test items?" Glenn Hutchinson furrowed his brow and asked.
Luna Vaughan’s expression slightly tightened.
Glenn Hutchinson paused for a moment, his voice indifferent, "Go through it from start to finish."
With a lift of her brow, Luna Vaughan was slightly surprised, but quickly and resolutely responded, "Yes!"
As soon as the words were spoken, Luna Vaughan didn’t hesitate, turning around and heading straight for the 400-meter obstacle course.
The test subjects were ordinary: 400-meter obstacles, armed swimming, cross-country running, shooting—all were subjects they trained regularly. But aside from the instructor, no one knew how high these requirements could be set.
What sort of standards? Conformity standards? Or standards for individual progress?
All kinds of doubts, all kinds of speculations, all kinds of possibilities, left them uncertain.
People like Luna Vaughan were exceptions.
If there were no surprises, they would definitely remain.
Glenn Hutchinson stood quietly, watching Luna Vaughan move on the 400-meter obstacle course, with some doubts in his mind, not quite understanding why such a person would seek an instructor. But with a shift in thought, he didn’t dwell on it.
Anyway, regardless of Luna Vaughan’s performance, the result was essentially already determined.
Glenn Hutchinson wasn’t about to change his mind because of a trainee.
"Did she come to you?"
Flossie Wright appeared beside Glenn Hutchinson without him noticing.
Gazing in the direction of the 400-meter obstacles, Glenn Hutchinson replied blandly.
Flossie Wright shrugged, not minding his attitude, and looked in the same direction as him.
Luna Vaughan was fast, catching up with the previously running group of six on the 400-meter obstacles in just a couple of laps.
It could be said that Luna Vaughan stimulated others on the 400-meter obstacles in a crushing manner.
In no time, Glenn Hutchinson withdrew his gaze, glanced at Flossie Wright, and suddenly asked, "If it were you, who would you choose?"
"Train myself."
Flossie Wright arched an eyebrow calmly.
To be honest, aside from Glenn Hutchinson, she couldn’t care less about anyone else.
However, she knew her shortcomings and weaknesses better than anyone else. Given enough time, she could devise the most perfect training plan based on her own physical condition.
No need to rely on others for help.
Luna Vaughan was stronger than she was when she first arrived at Aaron Doom’s place. People like Luna Vaughan knew what they wanted even more.
But Flossie Wright wasn’t worried about whether she would have undue expectations of Glenn Hutchinson.
Although Glenn Hutchinson excelled in every aspect of background, appearance, and ability, it didn’t mean he would attract admiration from female peers everywhere he went.
"Not coming to me?" Glenn Hutchinson asked thoughtfully.
"A hassle." Flossie Wright cast him a sidelong glance.
If during the last training session, Flossie Wright had actually sought out Glenn Hutchinson, she might have been put through a lot of trouble by him.
It seemed Glenn Hutchinson had reached the same thought, surprisingly, without a word of rebuttal.
"Take her in?"
After a pause, looking at Luna Vaughan running the 400-meter obstacles, Flossie Wright suddenly asked.
"What do you think?" Glenn Hutchinson looked at Flossie Wright with a slight smile.
"Whatever."
Flossie Wright shrugged.
"Really?" Glenn Hutchinson asked, as if seeking confirmation.
Flossie Wright lazily scanned him, "If you’re busy, I can help you develop a training plan."
Glenn Hutchinson chuckled silently, his lips curling up pleasantly.
