The moment her wrist was seized, Flossie Wright ceased to resist, allowing him to drape the black coat over her.

The coat, originally a trench-coat style, fit Glenn Hutchinson perfectly, yet on Flossie it was more like a dress, reaching down to her knees.
He meticulously buttoned it up, his palm sliding over Flossie’s waist. By the time they reached the middle, two dangling belts materialized in his hand. His slender fingers moved swiftly, securing the belts in the blink of an eye.
Even dressed in men’s oversized clothing, Flossie emanated a unique charm. Her cool, delicate face was still endowed with a heart-throbbing allure.
"Captain Hutchinson, what’s going on?"
The men from Glenn Hutchinson’s squad stood dumbfounded outside the door, not daring to move. However, the leader of the armed police squad, who knew little about him, sensed something was amiss and walked over curiously.
However, as soon as the words left his lips, Glenn Hutchinson bent down slightly, swept Flossie off her feet, leaving no room for discussion, and forcefully buried Flossie’s head into his chest.
Flossie cursed silently in her mind.
But it seemed she was used to such gestures. No matter how much she disliked this domineering man, Flossie could only roll her eyes and let him assist her.
As for why Glenn Hutchinson was doing this, she had pretty much guessed.
He was simply trying to protect her.
Though, while his intentions were good, she disagreed with his method.
Carrying Flossie, the "mastermind" of the situation, Glenn Hutchinson casually headed towards the doorway. Upon seeing the armed police squad leader, he unhesitatingly replied, "She’s the victim."
"Victim..."
Just as the armed police squad leader was about to point out that they were responsible for handling the victim and that they should take her back for a statement, he swallowed his words upon meeting Glenn Hutchinson’s slightly icy gaze.
If he did bend the rules this once, it probably wouldn’t matter...
Procedure was procedure, once the matter was done, it was done.
Most importantly, it seemed like the captain didn’t want to hand over the victim to them! He was even starting to suspect there was some illicit love affair between the two?!
Glenn Hutchinson was obviously aware of his suspicions but chose not to explain further. At such times, leaving with Flossie earlier was much more important than correcting some misconceptions.
Fortunately, the armed police squad leader merely harbored some doubts. After all, the woman Glenn Hutchinson cared for appearing in such a place...
Well, it was unthinkable.
Flossie was carried away by Glenn Hutchinson all the way until they boarded a military vehicle, where she regained her freedom.
She moved her arm. The throbbing pain from the injured area made her frown involuntarily, but she couldn’t help but glance a few more times at Glenn Hutchinson who was driving the car. With a casual tone, she said, "This time, thank you."
Glenn Hutchinson gave her a glance, he didn’t feel like probing deeper but simply warned, "Be more careful next time."
He was sure of one thing, he and just about every other person knew the risks of navigating through gunfire and the dangers of making a mistake.
Having interacted with Flossie multiple times, Glenn Hutchinson was well aware of her cautious nature. The fact that she had wandered into their field of operation was pure coincidence.
For most people, such an accident could mean never seeing the light of day again.
But Flossie seemed fearless, solving one problem only to face the next. It was exhausting even for him, despite his abilities.
Of course, anyone who met someone like Flossie would instinctively want to understand her better.
However, from Glenn Hutchinson’s perspective, this extraordinary woman was a mystery and aroused curiosity, but he didn’t want to discover more for the time being. Unless it was necessary or part of a mission, he wouldn’t allow his curiosity to be stirred.
After staring at Glenn Hutchinson strangely for a few moments, upon confirming he had no intention of asking further, Flossie leaned back in the passenger seat and closed her eyes to rest.
A few minutes later, Flossie slightly opened her eyes, scanning the road conditions outside.
"Take me to the Vegetable Market."
Flossie frowned. She was supposed to pick up groceries. While it didn’t matter if she got home late, not bringing any ingredients home wouldn’t be a simple matter.
She still had her mind set on those vegetables at this time.
Glenn Hutchinson’s eyebrows twitched, a hint of helplessness flashed in his eyes. He glanced at Flossie, "I’ll have someone bring them back for you."
After a pause, Flossie didn’t say anything else.
Using his earpiece, he called Willie Ash to delegate the task of grocery shopping and told Ash about Flossie’s accident. After shocking Ash for a moment, Glenn Hutchinson hung up, drove straight back to the Military District, and immediately brought Flossie to the hospital for basic bandaging of her wounds.
Ever since Flossie was "forced" to be a hostage at the hospital, her name had become well known there. On seeing Flossie accompanied by Glenn Hutchinson, the hospital staff began to provide enthusiastic service, bringing over a doctor to treat her injuries immediately without even needing her to register.
The doctor who bandaged Flossie’s wounds happened to be one of the doctors who had previously "let" Flossie become a hostage. He bandaged her so carefully that the process, which should have taken less than ten minutes, took over half an hour under his "care" and constant inquiries of "let me know if it hurts anywhere."
"I’ll prescribe you some antibiotics."
Once everything was done, the doctor didn’t even clean up the bandaging tools, and hurriedly began prescribing medication for Flossie.
Flossie’s brows twitched, and she immediately declined as soon as his words landed.
However, the doctor evidently took her refusal as politeness and quickly waved his hand, "No worries. It’ll just take a moment."
Flossie: "..."
At that moment, Glenn Hutchinson, who had been accompanying her the whole time, walked in. Seeing Flossie’s slightly twitching expression, a smile appeared in his eyes, "I’ll take you to training later."
"She’s injured and you still want her to train?!" The doctor, who was still writing the prescription, interjected. "Oh, and why did Captain Hutchinson come along with Flossie?"
Flossie stood to the side, without any intention of intervening.
Glenn Hutchinson, whose gaze casually swept over her, simply replied to the doctor, "We’re on a date."
The doctor’s pen dropped to the ground.
