Two people.
Ice, plus a... oh, an acquaintance.
With a slight turn of her gaze, Flossie Wright raised an eyebrow and looked at the woman beside Ice.
Daisy Deacon.
She was dressed in a cool and stylish denim outfit—a denim jacket paired with jeans and brown boots. The pants were tucked inside, showcasing her good figure. Her long hair was tied up, and a wide-brimmed hat covered half of her slightly high forehead.
Under the brim was half of a beautiful face.
In terms of facial features alone, Daisy was even more attractive than Erina Taylor was back then. Her features were well-defined, fitting various countries’ beauty standards. Yet, on such a pretty face, one side bore a long scar. The wound had healed, but it left a scar.
While Flossie examined her, Daisy’s sharp and keen eyes also scanned Flossie from head to toe, like an X-ray, finally meeting Flossie’s gaze.
A hint of a friendly smile emerged.
Daisy confidently extended her hand to her.
"Hello." Flossie replied in English and extended her hand graciously.
"I’m Nail, but you can also call me Daisy Deacon."
Daisy introduced herself in Eastlandia’s language and strengthened her grip while shaking hands, but before she could exert much force, Flossie easily deflected it.
They released their hands.
Both wore warm smiles on their faces.
However, Ice, standing aside, sensed an inexplicable air of hostility.
"Nail?" Flossie seemed a bit surprised and cast a questioning look at Ice.
She did not doubt the authenticity of Nail, but Anonymous and Nail seemed worlds apart with probably only Perry Reed connecting them. So, what was the reason for Nail and Ice collaborating?
"Come in first."
Ice glanced at her, not in a hurry to explain.
After speaking, he headed into the tent first.
Flossie’s steps halted momentarily, and she subconsciously glanced in Daisy’s direction. Coincidentally, Daisy was looking her way too. The moment their eyes met, Flossie suddenly felt a sense of ambiguity.
However, when she looked closely, Daisy had already nodded at her and then went straight into the tent.
Feeling her chin, Flossie was puzzled but said nothing.
Inside, there was a square table with the three of them sitting around it.
When Ice sat down, he noticed Daisy following and was a bit surprised. But seeing Daisy sit down gracefully next to Flossie, a strange look flashed in his eyes.
"What brings you here this time?" Ice asked directly to Flossie.
"Just catching up."
Flossie poured herself a glass of water, saying nothing about her real intentions.
The first matter concerned Belinda Nichols, which she couldn’t discuss directly with Ice in front of Daisy.
The second matter involved Andrew. But given that Daisy was already here, discussing Andrew openly with Ice would be practically giving her a clue intentionally.
Ice looked at her, bewildered and disbelieving.
"Ahem," Flossie cleared her throat after sipping some water and then met Ice’s gaze, "What about Gavin’s situation?"
After thinking about it, only the topics of "Bailey Maynard" and "Gavin" seemed suitable for discussion.
Daisy rested her chin on her hand, lifting her eyelids in slight boredom.
