Looking at her, Flossie Wright nodded affirmatively.
Becca Reyes then released her.
Flossie Wright followed the main Forces and left, but after only a few steps, she ran into Sandy Cruz, who was waiting for her on the spot.
"I’m sorry."
Frowning at her, Sandy Cruz said seriously.
He was in a group with Becca Reyes but let her get seriously injured.
He had promised to monitor Daniel Ramos, yet Daniel Ramos had still managed to strike.
Whether it was when Becca Reyes was in trouble, or when Daniel Ramos struck, he was not there at the time, but even so, Sandy Cruz felt he had failed to keep his earlier promise.
Pausing in her stride, Flossie Wright turned to look at him, a trace of a smile fleeting across her eyes. She raised her hand to hook it around his neck, "You’ve worked hard."
Avoiding the topic so deliberately, along with the casual hand that stopped him, darkened Sandy Cruz’s expression.
"Let’s go."
Raising her eyebrows, Flossie Wright let go and moved to grasp his shoulder, pulling him along to follow the main Forces.
Sandy Cruz’s mouth twitched but he didn’t resist.
According to Ella Pemberton’s decision, Flossie Wright and Jessie Grain would operate separately. They would no longer be a Sniper team but would instead act as individual snipers on their missions.
This suited Flossie Wright’s preference.
She didn’t mind teamwork and if there really was a need, she could try her best to cooperate. But as a sniper, she didn’t need a spotter’s help, so operating separately was the most logical choice.
Crouched in the beach’s scattered weeds, Flossie Wright used her scope to observe the situation on the fishing boat.
The view here was wide enough to clearly see the deck of the fishing boat.
Upon arrival, the Frogmen had suffered heavy damage, but there had been no casualties, and the team led by Ella Pemberton gradually gained the upper hand and managed to move two hostages to a safe area.
Because the distance was quite far and Flossie Wright’s range was long, with the pirates being beaten down unable to show their heads, she wasn’t in a hurry to fire.
After all, if any pirates made a slip-up, Jessie Grain wouldn’t miss.
Only when Jessie Grain was busy dealing with two targets would Flossie Wright occasionally take a shot.
Waiting idly, Flossie Wright watched the drama unfold, anticipating the next development.
A quarter of an hour later, Flossie Wright saw the pirates being cornered and retreating beneath the boat, hastily heading towards the island, and she raised her eyebrows.
The show was about to begin.
"Calling 01, calling 01."
The earpiece that had been quiet for a while transmitted Ella Pemberton’s somber voice.
Moving the earpiece slightly, Flossie Wright smiled and responded, "01 here, 01 here."
"There are seven pirates running towards the nine o’clock direction. Are they within your line of sight?" asked Ella Pemberton.
"They are," Flossie Wright answered simply.
They weren’t just within her line of sight; those people, unluckily, were running straight in her direction.
"Hold them down; we’re sending backup immediately," Ella Pemberton said, concern for Flossie Wright evident in her voice.
"Copy that."
Flossie Wright accepted the command.
Moving the earpiece a bit, Flossie Wright adjusted her scope’s direction and found the oncoming targets within seconds, her demeanor growing more focused.
One against seven.
If it came down to hand-to-hand combat after dropping weapons, Flossie Wright might stand a better chance of winning.
At such a distance, with the enemy possibly fleeing or retaliating at any moment, the difficulty for Flossie Wright was somewhat high.
After all, it wasn’t an experience she had before.
