"Pick it up!"
With a commanding and unyielding tone, the words fell like icy arrows. The invisible chill and pressure caused her to shiver subconsciously, shaking in fear.
What fell in front of her was a bundle of power ropes used for climbing.
Over the past few days, their training program had been complex and diverse, increasingly reducing their time to practice climbing. Yet, for them, these ropes were extremely basic equipment.
But why would Flossie Wright throw such a bundle of ropes at her?
Clara Birch was somewhat clueless, but due to Flossie’s commanding words, she subconsciously grabbed the bundle of rope. In the face of Flossie’s powerful gaze, she cautiously got up.
As the pain in her chin and lower abdomen remained unchecked, constantly reminding her of who caused her agony, she got up on wobbly legs, as if she might fall at any moment.
Lifting her eyes, her angry gaze swept over the woman in front of her. The woman with a cold and dangerous aura, exuding a dark and mysterious ambiance, looked at her with a condescending demeanor, completely disregarding her.
As if she was nothing more than an ant.
Surges of anger welled up, as Clara felt the woman’s terrifying aura. She steeled her spirit, nearly exhausting all her energy to suppress the hatred and resentment in her heart.
The most pressing issue now was to be cautious of what Flossie Wright and Becca Reyes might do to harm her.
These two women were crazy, she had witnessed it. Although she didn’t believe that Flossie and Becca would put them in mortal danger, she was fearful of their cunning tricks.
"Flossie Wright, this is the Forces. It’s not a place where you can do as you please," Clara Birch watched Flossie warily, holding her aching abdomen with her free hand, her face twisted in pain. "If you stop now, I can act as if nothing has happened."
"Unfortunately," Flossie arched a brow, a chilling voice slowly ringing out, "I have no plans of stopping."
As Clara had thought, this was the Forces, a place of rules and laws. It strictly forbade personal revenges. If exposed, not only would Flossie, but even Becca, who was aiding her, wouldn’t escape punishment.
As for Clara Birch and Agnes Parker, Janice Wood’s suicide wasn’t their doing. They had no direct involvement. If both of them claimed they didn’t provoke Janice, without any evidence, the Forces would not punish them.
Flossie always avoided trouble, her past life and habits had made her dislike procedural matters. Furthermore, some things couldn’t be curtailed by so-called justice. With Clara and Agnes now under her control, how could she possibly let them go without taking any action?
That was unrealistic.
"Aren’t you afraid we’ll expose you?!"
Her grip around the power rope tightened. Clara glared menacingly at Flossie, her urgent voice carrying a hint of threat.
She didn’t believe that Flossie would take such a huge risk just to avenge Janice Wood!
How was Flossie certain that they would absolutely not disclose this matter?
Just a slight miscalculation could potentially lead to her being unable to stay in the Forces, or even face military court in severe cases.
Did she have the guts to do that?
Clara wasn’t sure, but she knew for certain that she did not have that kind of courage, nor would she take such a mad risk.
