Stuart Weston had not yet reacted when Becca Reyes shrewdly pulled him and silently slipped away behind them.
Flossie Wright sat on the beach without moving, lazily resting her chin on her left hand, looking toward the horizon where the sky met the sea.
The sky was gloomily dark.
Fine rain fell like a mist, drifting in front of her, and the steady footsteps were getting closer.
Soon, Glenn Hutchinson stood still beside her.
He lowered his gaze, sizing up Flossie, who was sitting on the sand.
Her whole body radiated a lazy aura, relaxed, and possibly because she had been in the rain for a while, her clothes were soaked through, her hat lay to her right side, and her soft hair hung down, with some strands falling on her forehead and dripping down along the hair.
The transparent, glistening droplets silently fell into her right eye, making those bright eyes suddenly moist, yet even more dazzling and piercing.
Raising her eyebrows, Flossie spoke up resolutely, her expression indifferent, showing not the slightest bit of awkwardness.
Glenn Hutchinson obligingly took a seat next to her.
"What’s up?"
Speaking nonchalantly, Flossie lifted her hand and picked up the hat from her right side, placing it on her head.
She pressed the brim slightly, hiding her forehead in the dimness.
"I’ll leave at six."
Staring at her intently, Glenn Hutchinson said, enunciating each word.
"Not seeing you off," Flossie replied without turning her head, her tone unhurried.
"Come to see me off," Glenn demanded in a deep voice.
"Not seeing you off."
Her response came without any consideration.
"Flossie Wright."
Glenn called her softly, yet his voice was firm and strong.
"Here," Flossie replied indifferently.
"Look at me."
His deep voice resonated close to her ear.
Her eyebrows twitched slightly, and ultimately, Flossie turned her head.
Little did she know, Glenn Hutchinson had already closed in. As she turned, the softness of his lips brushed the corner of hers, a fleeting touch, which also suddenly drew the distracted Flossie’s attention.
With a faint smile on his lips, Glenn’s eyes sparkled with amusement, his eyebrows slightly raised, his voice husky and enticing, "I only asked you to look at me."
Taking advantage but still acting coy!
With a slight twitch at the corner of her mouth, Flossie looked at him disdainfully.
"Speak if you have something to say, then leave," she said irritably, her eyebrows tightly knit.
"I’m not in a hurry," Glenn responded with ease.
Faced with such shamelessness, Flossie truly had nothing to say.
"Let’s settle our account now."
Glenn spoke leisurely, his eyes smiling at her.
Narrowing her eyes slightly, Flossie looked at him with interest, "What account?"
"The one you owe me."
"... Go on," Flossie said, her expression unchanging, though she felt somewhat puzzled.
"Yesterday’s spending, including the fixed cupboard door, excluding loose change, I’ll only charge you a thousand," Glenn said unhurriedly, his expression quite serious. "I volunteered for hard labor, so I’m not charging for that."
"Anything else?"
Flossie’s gaze grew colder, her eyes flickering with a barely noticeable murderous intent.
This guy must know she’s out of money.
Ignoring her murderous look, Glenn continued, "You just kissed me."

Flossie’s gaze became even more dangerous.
