Dawn, four o’clock.
The sea breeze was gentle, the sky pitch black, the sound of water stirring vigorously.
The seawater crashed against the beach, erasing the marks left from the day before.
Flossie Wright emerged from the water.
Cross-country running, two hours. Swimming and diving, an hour and a half.
Drained of energy, Flossie Wright stepped through the sea, slowly moving to the beach, and collapsed onto a rock.
Exhausted throughout her body.
Her limbs felt as if they were filled with lead, heavy, void of any sensation but cold, as if they could be hacked off at any moment.
Her physical strength had improved, but it couldn’t withstand the way she was pushing herself to exhaustion.
After a while.
She turned over, facing up, her training outfit coated with fine sand.
The sky was a blanket of darkness, she couldn’t see a glimmer of light in this region at this time, and the cold sea breeze seemed to leech away her body heat bit by bit.

Hmm, can’t catch a cold again.
Thinking this, Flossie Wright’s eyes shifted, moving under the rock.
Bracing herself against the rock’s surface, Flossie Wright struggled to sit up.
Staring under the rock, she estimated it to be about three meters down, idly thinking about the likelihood of spraining or injuring herself if she jumped down with her current strength.
Pretty boring.
Looking up, she took a look around. Her sight didn’t reach far, but in the distance, she could clearly see a lighthouse lit up.
She stood up, right on the edge of the rock, but with her back to it, her gaze fell on the distance, on the only light that illuminated through the pitch-black night.
She counted in her heart.
Three, two, one.
As the last number flashed through her mind, her body fell backwards.
Her slender figure traced a beautiful arc in the air, her long legs flipping, her wet hair flying in the wind, and the sea breeze swept by, bringing a slightly cool aura.
The next moment, a backflip, and she landed steadily.
Standing under the rock, with her front toward it, her line of sight was clearly blocked.
Yawning, Flossie Wright lay down.
Lifting the back of her hand, she covered her eyes and closed them.
Here, the sea breeze was blocked, naturally much warmer. It wasn’t much of a Sanctuary, but it should be no problem for her to sleep a couple of hours.
So, she slept peacefully.
Morning, half-past six.
It was time for morning training, the sky was a shade of blue-gray, the sea was calm, as if awaiting the warm sun.
Rowdy Brightwill found Flossie Wright lying under the rock during a break in his rest.
The sea breeze blew across the shore-facing side of the rock, polished smooth by the wear, while the other side stood vertical and rugged.
Flossie Wright was sleeping under the rock.
That area had soft gravel, she lay on her side, back to the rock, one hand serving as a pillow, the other hand hanging by her side, touching the sandy ground, her legs slightly bent, her training outfit stained with a bit of sand, her soft, short hair scattered on the sand surface. When a gentle breeze came at an angle, her hair swayed lightly.
The sight caught Rowdy Brightwill off guard, and he stood frozen for a moment without stirring.
All of a sudden, a warm orange sun burst from the sea surface, gentle rays of sunlight spilling over, passing the surface of the rock, pouring onto the body of Flossie Wright lying on the ground.
Her fingertips on the ground were slightly bent, casting long, thin shadows under the sunlight, her long legs exposed to the light, mysteriously adding a breathtaking beauty.
Her skin was naturally pale, paler than others even with the sun and rain, her fair side profile against the warm light, the contours softened even more.
