The moment Glenn Hutchinson opened his eyes in the helicopter, an extreme tension filled the air. The two soldiers sitting across from him shifted in unease, attempting to curry favor in their glances at Glenn.
"30 meters above the sea."
Glancing out the window at the vast sea below, Glenn remarked casually, sharp eyes scanning the two visibly restless soldiers.
The soldiers themselves were already nervous about the jump, but that goading figure shocked them into momentary stillness, their faces draining of color, almost hopping off their seats.
In a display of bravado before the visiting soldiers, the assertive pilot of the Marine Corps helicopter held position in the air before making a sudden vertical descent, the sensation of zero gravity surpassing even a roller coaster ride. The abrupt movement threw the two soldiers into each other, instinctively reaching for something to hold onto.
In less than five seconds, the helicopter began to slow. The nose of the chopper pulled up sharply and stopped abruptly parallel with the coastline.
Only when they felt the helicopter stabilise did the two soldiers quietly breathe a sigh of relief.
However, before the relief even took hold fully, Glenn across from them lazily lifted his eyelids, and with an indisputable air, uttered ,"Jump."
A compelling pressure rushed towards them, leaving the two soldiers with no room for resistance. Exchanging a determined look, they grabbed their 20-kilogram backpacks and stood forcefully from their seats, yelling simultaneously, "Yes, sir!"
As members of the Army, they didn’t possess the same adeptness in water as the Marines. They had significantly lagged behind in underwater combat since their arrival here. Although their captain had summoned them under the guise of punishment, they knew it was for special training.
The door opened, the rush of high-altitude wind filling the helicopter. The two soldiers, faces stern, jumped out without a shred of hesitation.
"Thud", "Thud".
Sequential splashes were heard from below.
"Captain Hutchinson, when should I come to pick you up?" the pilot couldn’t help but ask.
"No need," Glenn stood up casually, clad only in his uniform, "They can swim back all by themselves."
"..." The pilot was left dumbfounded.
The distance from there was at least thirty to forty kilometers. Even the vanguard of the Marine Corps might find it challenging to cover such a distance, especially armed and swimming. The pilot had brought them here because he heard their underwater combat abilities were lacking and thought it would just be some simple training. He never thought they would be thrown in the deep end so soon. Wasn’t the captain being a bit much?
Then, the pilot hesitated. His face tightening as he thought of the endless sea below and asked hesitantly, "Won’t they get lost?"
"They’ll remember," Glenn replied indifferently, flexing his body a bit before coolly jumping out.
Hearing the splash from afar, the pilot sat in silence for a while, suppressing the shock in his heart as he gradually came back to his senses.
As the elite personnel of the Marine Corps, they always thought they were the best, but facing this foreign unit made them realize there were always people better than them.
The poorest soldiers from that group were better than yours—what do you have to be proud of?
A sudden helicopter appearing over the sea, performing high difficulty maneuvers in the air, naturally attracted the attention of those on the coast. They could make out figures jumping from the helicopter, each wearing a uniform, their bodies straight as diving models, arms slicing through the water before gracefully landing.
