Flossie Wright gave Becca Reyes an inexplicably sweeping glance, only to see her resolute expression. There was a slight movement in Flossie’s gaze, but ultimately she didn’t interfere in the matter.

Actually, she didn’t care who she was grouped with.
But many times, it was best to avoid what needed to be avoided. She really didn’t want to spend more time with Calvin Ramos.
However, Flossie knew very well how proud Becca was. She might be able to accept being rejected over and over again, but Calvin was deliberately avoiding her now...
"Let’s discuss strategy."
After a moment of silence, Flossie spoke listlessly.
Aside from her, the other three seemed distracted, each of them gazing at her as if waiting for her to reveal her strategy.
Frowning slightly, Flossie didn’t hesitate and methodically analyzed the current situation, also assigning each person their tasks.
They had already scouted the island’s stronghold, which was only a few tents. They could either seize them or blow them up. If all the people on the island united, they might be able to seize control, but their numbers were too small right now; they could be crushed by the enemy with sheer body mass.
Their only option now was to destroy the campsite.
Luckily, Flossie had collected quite a few explosive packages from the cabin before coming here, enough to blow up the tents even if they were split into two parts.
With the appropriate tools, things were much simpler. They would launch a pincer attack, throwing explosive packages into the tents before their own downfall.
"Are we taking action tonight?"
After a moment of contemplation, Becca suddenly looked up and asked Flossie.
"No, we’ll deal with it tomorrow." Flossie shrugged, "No action tonight, I’m going to rest for a while."
After saying that, Flossie buried the finished snake bones in the ground, then stood up and climbed up a nearby tree.
In the wilderness, they might find a more comfortable sanctuary, but currently, during this exercise, they couldn’t afford to cause unnecessary alarm. They could be discovered at any moment in the woods, so it was best to keep everything simple.
However, only Flossie would climb the trees like a monkey every time they rested, while everyone else would lie down on the grassland, ensuring their perfect concealment before they could have a good sleep.
But it was damp and cold, and they had to force themselves to sleep, otherwise, they wouldn’t have the energy for action.
"Hey," After a while, Stuart Weston suddenly looked up at the tree, where no human figure could be seen, "Why aren’t we acting tonight?"
Logically, the sooner a problem was resolved, the better. Furthermore, countless people were searching for them, it wasn’t the right time to rest at all. Could it be that Flossie had some good strategy?
But this time he greatly overestimated Flossie, because after a few seconds, three simple words floated down from the dark tree ——
"I feel like it."
Stuart Weston nearly spat out the old blood in his mouth!
"Watch out, I’m going to rest too."
At this point, Becca also stood up. In the very low visibility of the night, following the tree that Flossie just climbed up, she quickly disappeared out of sight.
Stuart Weston was left flabbergasted, sighing about the fact that people of the same kind stick together.
Sleeping in a tree was risky as they could easily fall off. Not only could they not move, but they also had to balance. It was Becca’s first time trying such a difficult sleeping method. After a while, she felt uncomfortable and the skin started burning with pain.
About a quarter of an hour later, Becca raised her eyelids and looked at Flossie, who was sleeping solidly in the branch lower down. She couldn’t help but ask in a low voice, "Can you sleep at night?"
Flossie responded lazily, simply not bothering with such self-inflicted suffering.
"Do you have any tricks?"
The indifferent responses only made Becca, who was already in a dilemma, feel even more upset. After a brief thought, Becca decided not to talk to her anymore to avoid suffering.
If it were previous times, Becca would never climb a tree to sleep. Such a peculiar way of sleeping required certain skills, therefore Flossie had been somewhat mysterious in her eyes. However, today Calvin chose Flossie on his own initiative, which made her feel uncomfortable. Of course, she did not blame Flossie, as she genuinely felt that Calvin was avoiding her.
She didn’t think she had been too clingy, but perhaps her affection itself was disturbing to Calvin.
Some unclear feelings intertwined in her heart, suffocating her. She came up here because she didn’t want to see Calvin.
She sighed slightly and deliberately suppressed the messy thoughts in her mind, trying to focus on this exercise and calm herself down to sleep.
After who knows how long, Becca’s clear-thinking brain gradually started to rest, the pain in her back caused by the hard surface was ignored. However, before she fell into deep sleep, a sensation of weightlessness instantly woke her up. The bustling wind blasted her ears, and in her rush to open her eyes, she could see nothing but darkness, as if she were in a dream. Yet, all her senses were screaming at her that a crisis was imminent –
That’s right, she was falling!
But, as fast as things were happening, there was no way for her to find anything to hold onto while falling from mid-air. The bare tree trunk didn’t have any branches for her to use to help slow her down and even if there were, she wouldn’t have time to react.
Damn, she wasn’t about to end up paralyzed, was she...?
Just as this last thought came to mind, Becca realized the speed of her fall dramatically slowed and two strong arms appeared behind her. Before she had time to react, she was drawn into a warm embrace.
